Spirograph

Can you remember the spirograph? While tidying my cupboard I came across my spirograph (Have had it for over 40 years!) I thought It would make lovely designs this is my first attempt. I used varigated thread. Wonder if I should make a triple stitch instead of single. What do you think?

I would like to see some triple designs. You do such a good job with your designs that I have no doubt that they will be beautiful. Thank you for all your beautiful work that you share with us.

When I bought my embroidery machine, the very first design I wanted to stitch out was a Spirograph type image. I just bought some last night, so hopefully I'll be able to eventually. I LOVE what you've done here. I think it would look great either way. But just to be sure, you should give us both to look at before deciding. :) I really like what you've done so far!!!

O, I have spirograph used a lot too about 40 years ago.
And now I see it embroidered. Handsome and very nice done.Maybe you can do it twice over each other.

Never had one myself but my kids did - does that make me ancient?
I love this sort of designs, done in a jiffy and nice results. And once you start to play with them it's amazing what you can get. Start mirroring before you group the circles or ovals and you get 'mussels'. Fill the different shapes and you get a dahlia design. I had a ball playing with these a couple of years ago. Only one I ever used was a mussel corner on a bookmark.
Your variegated thread makes it a very interesting design,

Have to add that I prefer the single stitch for quilting.

Would make it slightly denser. Will try it out and post it when I have a minute.

Try it but I think this single stitch is lovely and would make a great quilt block. Was it the auto or manual way, you digitised the design and what diameter is it? Jan
