You can use the fonts on your computer for emroidery but you need design softwear to 'convert' to embroidery. I dont know about the machine you have. I have PE design 8 and can use any font in my laptop for embroidery. Without knowing more informaion I dont think I can give more help.
Hi, I have P-E design for Brother but I did teach myself. All prgrams have a "help" tag on the top bar. I found mine to be an exact copy of what is in my manual. Ask for lettering or text and it will describe it for you (while you work).
I have used the "help" in many other programs too even for word or excel.
Here I will describe how I use other Alphabets that I have DL (in my computer prog) :
I "import" the letters that I need. Use the grid option to align them into a neat arragement. Then group them all for resize to the required size of my design page.
Wishing you Happy Stitching
Hi Sugarbookers, I too have a 630 and love it. It would take way too long to describe each step in detail. If at all possible, read the manual, go to a dealer, or ask any of your friends to help. If you have to pay for a class, it is well worth it, but I have found sewers and embroiders to be very helpful and very willing to guide you. I will gladly pay someone to teach me - one on one. After Labor day I will be taking classes myself, because I got my 630 on Ebay. Most dealers will have classes especially if you got your machine there, if not, they know of someone who has the same model who might be able to help you. Get the most of your machine and use it to its full potential. My last machine, Artista 170 had over 5 million stitches on it but very little embroidery. Good luck and please let us know how you are doing with your machine.
I did not mean my machine. I want to use the fonts on my computer. Please help if you can. Thanks
To use the fonts on your machine you don't need software and with the machines I have (Husqvarna) I can't use the machine fonts in the Husqvarna software.
How to use the fonts should be explained in the machine manual. It's usually a matter of going to the font you want to use, typing in what you want and if necessary juggling a bit with the size options to fit in into your hoop.
I said the wrong thing I would like to use the fonts on my computer. Help if you can. Thanks
