13907The dress is georgous but if that material was from a petticoat then I really pitty the women having to wear it!! Imagine the hot days when there was no way to cool down and to be wearing this type of dress!

Ah yes however it is fine silk from the 1920's and may have only been used on cold days ;-)

It was originally a hand embroidered petticoat and the lower edge is the lower edge of the doll dress! It was quite slippery to sew however.
