I love my brother bought in Canada and their repair people are tops .I live 4 hours from their nearset store and they help me fix it myself over the phone hugs
Thats great, we live 2 plus hours away, only time we go to the BIG city is for tractor parts... Thanks hugs!
Glad you made your decision and now you can have fun learning a new machine!
I got my Brother 780D about 3 years----once I learned how to run it (after buying and operating 2 other 4x4 machines by Brother)---and got it PROPERLY serviced by a RELIABLE Brother service person----it has performed beautifully----I stitch out at least 1-2 items almost daily----travel with it all over the country (along with my travel bag I keep packed with scissors-thread-stabilizers-items to embroider for family/friends)-----it SELDOM gives me any problems--if it does give me any issues it is because of SOMETHING STUPID I have done myself----it was also a demo----would buy it AGAIN if given the choice----ENJOY:):):)
Have fun with your new machine and may you have many happy hours sewing together
Yeah for you! It's really fun having two machines going at once. My friend LInda brought her new Duetta to my house for me to train her on... I got to keep two machines humming a few times and it was really fun!
Well I bought the machine! It had a total of 22 stitches, so in other words the machine was like new! Now I have to rearrange my sewing area, I'm still keeping the baby brother SE-400 since it is an embroidery plus sewing machine. I have to get my apricot jam done so I can get to try out the new baby. Thank you all for the great advice.
I love mine so much my SIL bought one too. I know you'll love yours too. Congratulations, Susan
I purchased my 780D about 3 years ago for $799 + tax (brand new)but that was because I told the dealer that I could get it on Amazon for that with no shipping and he met the price.
Not all dealers will do that.
Very interested in the newest machine with a 7X12 hoop.... Will look into that!

Grab it while you have the chance. I paid 1000.00 for my PE700, which I totally love.
Where in Canada? I'm on Vancouver Island in BC.
Cheers!
I'm in the Okangan, same province. We haven't been to the Island in ages! Thanks
I bought the Brother 780D machine used and I love it MORE than my Viking!!! It has so many things my Viking does not have. I would go for it. Mine was $795.00 used. If I ever get another Emb machine, it will most likely be a Brother. Hugs, Judy
In the Fall Brother is bring out 3 new machines.
One is an Embroidery Only machine.
On one of my groups a member said the price of the new one in the US would be around $600.00 US.
I think the machine is named Infinity V (five)
Some have already pre ordered the machine,
You may want to ask your dealer what they have heard about the new machine and when it will be out and what price it would be in Canada. Ask what hoop sizes it will come with.
It might be worth waiting for.
There is a video on the 3 machines on U Tube.
Some machines are only available in the States or Canada, my SE-400 is not available in Canada. I'll look into it thanks!
This is UK i am talking about here, I got my machine,it was a shop demo. bit cheaper. now a year latter I find i could have got one, same price from GAINS MACHINES, brother dealer and they have free monthly classes when a brother rep, who comes and teaches a group with the GAINS machines and how good that would have been.Wish I had done more home work..
The classes if offered would ko me no good since we live 2 plus hours away from the store. But good advice, thank you!
Does the store demo come with the full warranty - starting the day you buy it (not the day they started using it as a demo - and if the day it started as a demo, when was that?)? Is the store doing a full service on the machine before they sell it? And, how many stitches are on the machine? Those answers may help answer if $300 off is a good deal or not....
