You can't take it with you... therefore it has to go to somebody. I have had a couple of incredible things happen. It is fun! Happy for you! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Good for you and your daughter. Enjoy the experience and don't get carried away or you won't have time to sew, you'll be scouring the country in your camper for more bargains. ( Not a bad life!) Jan

Goodness me!! You have been very fortunate to get these lovely items. What a pity to sell them - they could become heirlooms.****
Wow, Annie, that's just wonderful! We have freecycle here in the USA as well, but I don't know of anyone that ever made as good a deal as you did, congratulations. So nice to have something be used & appreciated, instead of being thrown out. And sometimes we do get a lucky break, you and your daughter sure did. Enjoy! Hugs, Marji
wow!!! make photos so we all can see. We have a TV called Antique Roadshow that I love to watch. They travel all over the country and people bring in their old items to be evaluated and sometimes they are worth nothing and sometimes worth a fortune. Wish I could find something worth a fortune!!! So happy for your daughter. Kay

Wow! Great. And it's so good someone got them that will enjoy them rather than them just being thrown out!! (assuming that's what the tip is? If so, that sounds so much nicer than our dump!)
Wonderful Annie, I have just taken lots of bits to the hospice charity shop and that makes me feel good too. Someone els can enjoy and some money will go for the hospice care.
I expect the man is absolutely thrilled to have given them to you. It is special to know that your old treasures are being enjoyed by someone who appreciates it.
Wow, you really got lucky! We do have freecycle here in the states, I got rid of a lot of stuff over the last few years and picked up a couple too, like a small fridge for the garage to keep our bottled water cold when outside. Not nearly as nice as what you got but still, an item wanted, gotten for free!
Annie, what a wonderful thing to happen. I just love stories like this. A couple of years ago my daughter's MIL bought a rather garish bracelet at a WI charity shop. She cleaned it up and realised that it was gold - took it to her local jewelers and found out she had a gold bracelet studded with large emeralds and diamonds. It is amazing what turns up. Well done.
Sarah.
Good for you. Nice to hear that there are still people who like to help others. Blessing on you and on that wonderful generous man.
I'm not familiar with antiques but congratulations
on a major score.
Terrific story, Annie. So nice to hear of people doing nice things for others :)
