my picture-uploaddidn't seem to work, perhaps the direct link would work...
Very nice well done,it is going to be hard just to make one. Oh who needs sleep anyway, cheers Heather
here is another old acquaintant
have fun with all the info in all the posts
I purchased my Beach Bag pattern from "Sealed with a Stitch" it also uses Pet Screen. It has no fabric on the bottom so that the sand falls out so you don't have to take it home with you also has a small beg for the inside and directions to make a towel that has a hiding spot for your keys and such. My favorite one so far. Hugs & Stitches, Liz
Thankyou so much this sounds perfect.Love the idea of a hiding place for keys,I think i will make myself one.
Since you know where to go for the designs, I will tell you that we made totes for beach bags out of pet window screening. (It cannot be ruined by pets claws.) You can embroider on the screen or put a strip of solid fabric along the sides. Just be sure to use screening on the bottom so water can drip out. Use bias binding along the seams and top. EmbLibrary has a tutorial on it called "Fabrics 101: Embroidering On Screen".
This is a top idea i will log on to Embroidery libary and jot down some notes. thankyou for your reply.
Forgot to add the link, duh.
Embroidery Library, once again. They have the most gorgeous sea stuff, here's the link to the section. If you're going to purchase anything, join their Christmas Club first, because that way you'll get credit from your purchases toward designs. Enjoy, hugs, Marji
I have made one, with tropical fish and coral.
saw one on E-Bay from Lullu Guinness and it went for 130-00 pounds second hand.
so took pictures of it and have incorporated some of her ideas, with some small embroidered fish on it too, with some metal thread used and some small metal fish hand sewn on.Found those on E-bay for sale. Never made a bag before, so a challenge but Love it, too scared to use it now lol, incase it gets dirty.
Sounds very pretty,i think i will do a beach walk for some shells with little holes in them to attach. thankyou so much for your ideas.
