This was a happy accident. I was stitching the santa on a tshirt. The machine proceeded to eat tshirt and stitching got off. I didn't have the right stablizer, this was early in my embroidery career. To fix this mess, I hooped some Xmas material and stitched out the Santa. Sadly, it happened again, (poor stablizer choices)but this time it was almost finished. There were presents at his feet and that is where the mess up happened. I then took some lofty white material for faux snow and cute to cover this latest mess. Then I appliqued over the first Santa mess. The snow part kinda shows thru the stitches at the bottom, but at this point I was about ready to pull my hair out. The customer was satisfied so that is all that mattered. Sometimes you got to get creative to get the job done.

Murphy's Law if it's for someone else (especialy if it's their garment)...it will alway mess up/eat the darn thing.

TU for encouraging us to try to approach things differently when they seem to fail;a little perserverance can go a long way to turning things around...

How inventive. You have recovered very well. The snow looks just like it should be there. I am impressed, it has turned out great. Well done.

I think you did a great recovery. I probably would have thrown it out and started all over again. My mind doesn't think outside the box that well.

You did really good in your cover up. If I didn't know what you went thru-I would never have guessed.
A non emb/sewer would never know.
