Did you get answer from the owner of the logo?
Greetings, Bettina
I found this on the site that says no, you may not use this design.
Is there anyway we could assit to buy the original shirt with that on it from the vendour?
Hugs Bev
what a tragerty we take so much for granted please keep us updated with the outcome,,,sendig your neice love light and healing.......soozie
unfortunately we all have someone who we love that will relate to this really great design. Hope that it can be achieved legally, then we might all be able to use it.
Hi Shirlene, sorry to hear about your niece. So young to have such troubles. I hope everything works out as it is a nice design. Will keep an eye out for any other designs such as this that may be to her liking. Hugs, Betty
Hi Shirlene: I hope Meg can help you and will be given permission to do the design.
She wrote a beautiful letter and if it was me receiving the request, I would be touched with what she has written. Keeping my fingers crossed for you both. Meganne has digitized a few designs for me and they are perfect in every way. She just did a pair of cat's eyes and nose, so I can make my GD a pillow like her new kitten. I will post the picture of the design when Meg approves of it.
Hugs
Jerri
OK, well I found the owner of the Icon you want digitised and I have written him the following email.
----------------------------------------------------
Dear Steve,
My name is Meg, I'm a 63 y.o. grandmother from Australia and I digitise machine embroidery designs.
I give my designs as gifts on a website made up of members world wide, who come together in love and friendship and support.
I don't charge for my designs, even when I create them by request, which I am always doing for my fellow Cute family members. (We call ourselves the World Wide Cute Family)
They supported me through my recent battle with breast cancer and it is my way of saying thanks, I should have died and I didn't, I believe there was a reason I survived and it is to give to others in any way I can.
Earlier today a request was made http://answers.cuteembroidery.com... for someone to digitise your heart wheelchair icon, for a young disabled lass. Of course, legitimate digitisers just don't do this, without first checking whether the person has permission to USE the artwork. My search led me to your website, hence this message to you.
Should you give permission for me to digitise this as an embroidery design, you will have my solemn promise, as a retired Justice of the Peace, that I will remove all resulting design and artwork at the completion of this one time request.
I will also send you copies of the design, which, naturally, you will be free to do with as you wish, even sell the machine embroidery design on your website, as long as we can agree on a fair price, seeing as the design would be used for disabled people.
I will also obtain a written promissory note from Shirlene that she will only use the design on articles for her niece and she will NOT sell or market items with this design on it.
Alternatively, I will just provide you with the finished embroidery design and if you decide to sell the designs to raise funds for your movement, I will buy one back to give to Shirlene for her niece.
I wouldn't go to this much trouble for just anyone, but my own dear Dad was a victim of Polio at 15 months of age and he never knew what it was like to walk, run, swim or enjoy life the way ordinary people do. He never once complained, until the day he died in my arms, after 69 years of days of struggling just to do the things we take for granted. This is very close to my heart and I thank you most sincerely for taking the time to read my email.
Blessings,
Meganne

Now We Wait. But I do expect that you will write him the promissory note that I mentioned.
You will find an email link at the home page below.
Hugs n roses, Meganne
Meg you have written a wonderful letter. So sorry about your dad. My mother had a classmate with polio and so she was always looking that we get our polio-vaccination.
Greetings, Bettina
Your letter is very moving, Meg. Hope that Steve will accept your request.
Hugs, Lidia
Excellent letter Meg...I'll cross my fingers you get his permission.
Hugs

One can but ask. All he can do is say no and that will be the end of it.
Hugs n love to all, Meganne
Meganne, you do have a way with words. I hope you get a response promptly.
I understand about disabilities. I am an amputee and have been in a wheelchair for nearly 7 years. In my youth I was very athletic. No regrets, but I awe at things I used to do.
I am almost sure I have seen something like this in my licensed clipart. Leave it with me to have a look for it as I have to go through 120,000 clips to find it.
Please email me separately, with format and size required, so I have it in my digitising folder as I am getting quite forgetful and need reminders.
