If you are near a Joann Fabrics, they will be having Simplicity patterns on sale 5 for $5.00 but you can buy just one. I don't have my flyer here right now but it is either this weekend 17-19 or the following24-25.
I remember when I was baptized the gown was very similar to a choir robe, only made of heavier white fabric. It had a yoke with gathering and was really loose. I saw some patterns for choir robes on eBay by Simplicity. An over-the-head, slip on Mu-Mu would also work, as long as it is made of thick enough fabric not to see through when wet. I remember feeling washed as white as snow!
I'm pretty sure that I saw some in the Simplicity pattern book in stores. Search on line, "church robes" and in immages, Good Luck.
Have you a picture of what you are looking for or similar? I have patterns, some I've drafted for different robes for use in church services, but I'm not sure what your church uses. We just wear normal clothes in ours.
