I am looking for someone who might be able to digitize a "Gooey Duck". It is in the clam family but is really kind of discusting looking. I have a friend who lives at the ocean and she has desparately been looking for one to go on some towels. She wants it to have personality? Not sure what that means. She wants it to have a funny face. If you know what a gooey duck is you will see that it already has a certain amount of personality. I thought a more realistic one would be better. If someone can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much,

Renee

Wow! everyone it's just a big clam...LOL Embroidery Library has a cute baby clam. Maybe you could embroider that out and use felt and somehow gather it and machine stitch it to look like it's neck. Guess it depends on how handy you are at sewing. Or if someone knows of a clam design that has it's neck sticking out you could hand embroider a cute face on it.

Like some of the other cuties I looked it up and after looking at some of the pictures thought maybe you could find a snail design that might work. You can leave off the eye tentacle part. Left you a couple links and you can search other sites also with the search word "snail".

Renee, as much as I believe in all God's creatures being beautiful, I would not digitise this, one, because you are a newbie here and have not yet earned your stripes, so to speak.
The Members here who digitise are only members like yourself, we are not affiliated with, employed by, or paid by, CuteEmbroidery.com
So, when you request to have a design digitised, you should also be prepared to pay the digitiser for their work or at least make the offer to pay them.
Having made no such offer and having previously made this same request, it is quite obvious that there are no takers.
Digitising is time consuming, painstaking work and most of us only digitise things that inspire or challenge us, obviously this poor creature does neither. I do hope you understand where I am coming from. hugs an roses, Meganne, Melide Menschen Designs

Your objection is uncalled for, it is one of God's creatures and therefore has a right to life regardless of how ugly it is. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and anyone who makes something dirty out of this has a filthy mind. Meganne

I have to agree, don't make it something it is not.

Agree with Meg and Bev. It's not a beauty but I thought that you are a big animal-friend so your reaction makes me wonder a little bit...

I believe you asked this May of 2012 and no one was interested in digitizing it. You must admit it's a bit pornographic in nature.

Sounds like a fun project. I was wondering what a gooey duck would look like too, so had to google for it. Ohmygoodness what a weird thing it is!

Can you post a picture of one, that might help digitisers to see if they like having a go at it. I have no idea what a gooey duck would look like.
