There is advertising of products & site in DBC. Posted by 'liofdsofui'. This is not allowed, is it?

Ok, here's the deal. We're trying to get this sorted out, because nobody wants DBC and Projects to be clogged with advertising, that's not the point of having those places to post. But, there's a kind of fine line here. If Basketkase posts a free design, and says others are on her website; or if somebody puts up a project, and since everyone always wants to know where the designs came from, says the designs came from Angelbaby811, or Yoriko's site, or Embroidery Library, technically that's advertising, too. So right now, while we're trying to figure out how to deal with this, we're taking it on a case by case basis.

Now, VERY IMPORTANT: If you see 'advertising', or illegal designs, PLEASE LET ONE OF THE MODERATORS KNOW ABOUT IT AND POST A LINK IN THE PM'S. The fastest way to get this taken care of is to post a PM to all 4 moderators. That way, whichever one of us is awake and on line can see it and take care of it. This is a 24 hr. site, and each one of us only has a few hours each day to be here. If you see something wrong, TELL US. If we've already seen it, that's ok, I don't care if you tell me twice or 3 times, better that than not to know at all. We try our best, but we can't check every post, every design, every project. You know how things bounce around here. Also, illegal designs; we don't know every design on every website in the world. If you've seen the design elsewhere and think it's illegal, give us a heads up and we'll check it out. It'll be removed if it is. But the key is we have to KNOW, and you have to TELL US. Don't just make a comment in the design, or in the project, it likely will not be seen. Send a PM to the moderators. Report it.

As to whatever you're referring to in this particular post, I've been back 4 pages and can't find anything. If you question something like this, please please put a link so we can find it and look at it. It's either gone, or it wasn't on the first pages.

Thanks Marji, guess we were both typing at the same time. The advertising is on several projects, quite blatant and not for designs. Many have notified Miss V. it's only a matter of time. :-))) Goodnight GF. Meg

Marji, it is posted as a comment under the designs.
http://designsbycuties.cuteembroi... It is just advertising and there is no comment made so I wouldn't consider it in the same class as where someone put that the design came from.
