As a rule I don't to keep a large amount of fabric just tend to buy what I need for a certain project. But sometimes I find some I can't resist and wind up having a bin or two full. One good thing I do is I tape 1-2 dryer sheets on the inside of the bin lid(with Blue painters tape) This prevents the age old musty smell from getting on fabric.
The problem may not be what type of fabric attracts dust, but what type produces dust. I work with fabrics(home decor) every day in my job. When we cut some fabrics, they produce a mountain of dust, while others, almost nothing. It's hard to tell why.
My fabric and yarn are stored in large plastic tubs, with little rollers and stackable.
They are still perfect after years of storage, some 20 + yrs.
Hugs Bev
I keep my fabrics in plastic bags, possibly the see-through-type, and inside drawers when I can.
Hugs, Lidia
All fabric no matter what kind gets dusty so you should keep it covered like in plastic boxes or dresser drawer or shelves that have doors or a curtain to close.
