I have been having problems (not the same as you) on the site for a few days. I just cannot download any pictures for Projects. Nearly driving me mad. I will try and be a bit more patient. Hugs Sarah.
After I use my back button all I get is the site header...nothing else then most times if I use the refresh button everything shows up. It started happening to me today. It is very frustrating.
Muffy :)
Is it just here or at other sites also? I've had this problem here but no where else. It started a couple of days ago here but seems better today...keeping my fingers crossed.
Muffy :)
Your right it seems to be on this and the other two sister sites. I will keep my eye on it and see. I tried a bunch of other sites and they are fine. Very strange. Thank you for trying to help
Hugs Jerri
If it is this site, then -- not much you can do about it. Be patient. I am sure Ms. Veronika is doing all she can to keep the site going and make changes for us.
I don't know how long it will be but I am sure the spammers slowed progress.
Thank you for your help. I know you are always helping others with computer problems and I do apprecite your time to respond to mine.
Anytime I can...but I am returning to university...so I will not be here as much. I will do what I can though.
I appreciate your kindness and all that Cuties do for me.
Good luck on your returning to University. What are you going to be studying or are you teaching.
I think things are running slow throughout the site. I just try to remember "patience is a virtue" lol
I am sure things will improve soon (ish) after the spammers are dealt with.
I can try to help you, but I will need more information. Will you describe what you expect it to do and then describe what it actually does? Also, I need to know what you are using to access the internet -- Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer (the big blue "E") or another browser?
I hope I can help. :)
Hi Rescuer: For example, when I am on this site and I want to go back a page, I click on the blue circle with the arrow on the top left corner. I have to keep clicking a few times. I believe its Internet Explorer.
To open up my internet, I have the big blue E with a ring around it, I click it and Google comes up, from there I go to where-ever I need to go. I don't recall having this problem in the past, just not sure when it started. Thank you if you can help me.
Hugs Jerri
What happens if you press the backspace key on your keyboard?
When was the last time you rebooted your computer? If it has been a while, Internet Explorer gets kind of weird.
I have to hit it a couple of times also. I shut down my computer everyday before I go to bed, is that what you mean by rebooting. Sorry, I am not a computer expert by any means.
Well I'll be damned. I just turned off the computer and restarted it and all is fine, yet it didn't work this morning when I turned it on. Thank you for your help, now I know what to do if it happens again.
Hugs and Blessings
Jerri
Well I thought it work, when I finished the above message and hit the blue back arrow it didn't work again. So frustrating.
Sorry, computers can be very frustrating.
Try this: Go to "tools" (top right of internet page usually) select "Internet options" about the middle of the General page, there is a "delete" button under "Browsing history"
select it and then choose "Temporary internet files" and "Cookies" select "Delete" at the bottom of that page.
Let me know if it works...or not.
It might be advertisments trying to load as you try to click "back" Try right clicking the blue back arrow to see what site it is going back to. If it is an advertisement then it is being blocked for good reason
No that didn't work either. I did what you said and then shut down the computer and restarted it. Right now say, if I click the blue back button to go back to personal it won't work unless I click it a few times. I am usually, just trying to go back a page or getting out of something to go back to something else. Am I explaining it okay?
I try to click the blue back button once and then double click,to see what works, but nothing happens until I click a few times.
I'm reading this--& am wondering if maybe your 'mouse' is going bad?? Could that be why the computer is not responding??
