I also have just started a huge king size quilt with machine embroidery in each block. I had no idea how much work I had made for myself but it will be gorgeous when it is finished :) Good luck with yours, I would love to see it when you are finished :)
I admire your courage!. As for me, I will pull my hair out during the process. But it is all worth it @ the end.
my king size one i finished took me 6 months and i say never again lol GOoooooooooooooooo Girl lol hugs carolyn
sounds like a nice project. It will sure be great when completed.
Wow!! I hope that it will go smoothly and no hiccups with your thread and the machine. Which set of patterns are you using and what colours? please show your work sometimes for us to admire (and become green LOL).Good luck with your project.***
Oh, I have walked in your foot steps! How is it that a few minutes magically turns into several hours? In my mind I think I can "quickly" just stitch something up. Wrong. It doesn't matter really. As you finish each step along the way, take time to have a cup of tea (or wine) and look at and admire the work you have accomplished so far, and replenish you energy to tackle the next part!
sending you power of endurance and patience and love for the project
I am sure that it will have all been worth it when you finish. Just pace yourself so you don't burn out and fold the unfinished top in a closet.;)
I have regretted some brilliant ideas that I had for some of my quilts, and once started it all has to match so you grit your teeth and do the long haul.
Some Fancy stitching on the new Machine has a slow speed and that annoyed me ( lucky the foot pedal never went through the floor).
It all seems so simple in theory.
But nevertheless all is lovely when completed.
Happy Stitching!

Just reading your post gives me a headache. LOL. I really admire you. I am sure that it will be beautiful when finished. Please post in Projects. Hugs Sarah.
Well good luck with this project. It takes much longer to complete work than one thinks. Look forwards to seeing the finished quilt in project sometime in the future
