A visiting well known educator(from the US) for a well known brand of sewing machine in a digitizing seminar showed us how to scan and digitize similiar items to match when making our soft furnishings - curtains, cushions etc.
I haven't seen her accused of any copyright infringements and she has been ou there a very long time.
"Technically" you shouldn't do it. BUT....if you are doing it in YOUR home for only YOURSELF...well...where are the gnasty gnomes that will tell on you??
I would think you could digitize the designs for your own personal use to accessorize with...??
Dolly, did you make the lamp? And create the pictures on the lamp?
If you answered no to either question then you already have your answer and methinks you knew it BEFORE you even asked. LOL!!!
Sorry Dolly, but whoever created the artwork was paid by the lampmaker to use it, therefore if you want to use the artwork, you also need to pay to use it, or risk being sued if found out.
Hugs n roses, Meg (your friend Meg, not the moderator Meganne) hahahahahahaha
If I'm right this is an IKEA design and in Norway, where I am at the moment, they sell matching pillows and material for curtains.
I agree, you really legally can't. But if you want to decorate the room, & the designs don't go anywhere else, like DBC or any other site, or Projects, then I don't guess the stormtroopers will find you. But it's still not legal.
My daughter has 3 of the cushions and the lamp in this great design
