It was lost in my email! Update on Uganda Quilt project. Oh my goodness, Pavel HAD sent us an email about his arrival and the kids receiving their quilts!

It was dated May 19, 2012

Here it is:
Jan,
I am indeed in Uganda, safe and sound...the quilts too :). I have $40 left over from the baggage fees and will give this money to Patrick.

Today the quilts were given to the children of the orphanage. What an absolute spectacle to see!? The energy was electric, the happiness overbearing. I took tons of pictures and video recorded too and am excited to show you all of the footage. The kids were overly grateful and Patrick speechless by the sheer generosity of all those people who have helped. He was absolutely moved...as were the kids. Clapping and laughs...brilliant. I believe on Monday, we will be giving the remainder of the quilts to the kids in the safe house. I cannot wait to experience it again for a second time.

Everything is absolutely great.and Patrick is overjoyed. He continues to ask for your email, which I will provide.

Also, several of the quilters sent a letter with their quilts. Patrick wants the kids to write a letter to these people. I suggested we get a list of all (or most) of the quilters' names so the kids can write a letter. With that, can you send me such names so I can give them to Patrick for the kids to write a letter?

Thank you again. All is well here!
Pavel

Yes, I would love that, Michelle. I still have my list, but it was so constantly changing, I'm not sure if I'm accurate.
I would love the names and address of all who contributed with sewing, fabrics, quilting, donating funds! Send to my PM, please hightechgrammy Thanks!
