ANGELINA Fibers! Have you ever used Angelina Fibers? I hadn't even heard of them, until I saw Vicki, aka basketkase, in the How To Video on her website! OH my goodness - a whole new dimension to add to our stitches! You melt this colorful light-reflecting fibers into a sheet you can use like mylar! Check it out when you get the time. Thanks, Vicki, for presenting this new technique to us! hugs, Jan

I found some Angelina Fibers on both Amazon and eBay - but wonder what is the difference between crimped fibers and straight... Which do I get?

The Crimped Cut shines more than the Straight Cut after applying the heat from the iron.
Just make sure to get the hot Fixed type in either.

Watch the Video on the Basics of Angelina at the Embellishment Village link below it is the last one on the page so scroll down.

I have used it with my cardmaking and with FSL embroidery as well as in other embroideries. I love the effect that it gives. Hugs Joyce

I need to order some crimped as I have just worked with the hot melt straight, but get amazing results with those. I did order some angelina sheets that edithfarmer mentions below, they really don't look much different than the mylar, to me. I used them just like mylar & the angelina fibers too, so it is just a matter of preference....have fun with whatever you use and show us your results!!

I've never used this product, but my dealer sells it. She used some of the fibers on an art quilt for the wall. She had some irridescent ones on a waterfall, and it sparkled as you moved around the room, almost looked like real water falling, very very pretty. If you make something with them, please show us. If it will show up well in a picture, that is. I know sometimes the mylar doesn't show up as well as it does in person. Hugs, Marji

I once had a class on it and really love working with angelina fibres. Really beautiful things to be enhanced by leaving out one specific colour and using the angelina fibres to stand in for the colour. Hope you are all going to enjoy working with it. I had the class about two and a half years ago and cannot remember where to buy the fibres except that Bernina stocks it.***

I found the best price for them on Amazon.com I had to order some and the shipping was free for in the USA.
I picked the crimped kind because I thought they might reflect more light. Now I can't wait!
