great pics. vacations are great but i don't travel well AT ALL! so happy you met DeVon. your smile says you had pretty good time!!
I won't be traveling anymore, some people love it, some hate it, I am closer to the hate it part, lol! My house, my people, my kitty and my stuff. All mine.
Debra, what fun to meet another cutie!!! I have to say that you look FABULOUS DAARLING... :) Glad to see you doing so well. DeVon is a cutie too. ;)
So glad you were able to do this. Pictures are great. Arlene
How wonderful for you both! Great pic's. You look terrific!
Hugs, Nadyne

I am so happy to hear that your time with Devon was so enjoyable. A lovely photo of you two and as well as with DH> Loved seeing you again.******
It is great that you did get to go, and you met a fellow Cutie - And you do look good, and I know that you are glad to be home.
Thank you. Yes, I got to go, walk in the sand, get the ocean to lap onto my feet, meet DeVon and picked up a couple of things along the way. My life is complete.
Debra, I am so happy you got to go - it is neat that you were able to stay in Greenboro, NC when you visited with DeVon - that is where I used to live. That is a long way to go - to only stay for such a short visit - but I don't travel well either - get there and get back - that is me - I don't like hotel/motels, at all and can't sleep in any bed but my own. You look wonderful and fit, too.
Thank you, didn't need much pain killers and am glad that I did go and glad it's over. I sleep better in motels but wouldn't want to do it often.
Debra, As it's been said YOU LOOK Great. Thanks for sharing the photos.Glad you are back home. You are always in my prayers.Stella
What wonderful pictures. You look SO GOOD. Happy you did you list and back home. I love being home too. You Always take wonderful pictures. Love the one by the pool! Glad you are feeling a bit better too. Suzanne
Sorry your trip was a bummer. Glad you got to meet Devon. Myrtle Beach is not my favorite. I've tried the Atlantic and the Pacific I love the Gulf coast where the water is warm, not so salty and the waves merely lap at your feet. The sand looks like white sugar and the water is as blue as the sky. I can walk for miles on the beach but haven't been able to go for several yrs now. Hubby cannot use walker in sand./Lillian
Thanks for sharing with us. I'm a home buddie also. One thing a get tired of is eating out when we travel. Call me crazy, just an old country meal and homemade ice cream and I'm good to go. Great pic of you a hubby. Hugs, Judy
We don't eat well when we travel because after a good meal we need a nap so it's a quick burger and move on down the road. Glad I went, more glad I am home.
Thank you for sharing your photos and your thoughts on your vacation. I agree with you that home is the best place to be. It is nice that you got to meet up with DeVon. Two lovely looking ladies. Hugs, Mary
Thanks, she is so sweet. I am truly glad we got to meet up for the short time we did.
And we are glad to have you back with us. Debra, you are looking absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting such wonderful pictures. Much love and hugs Sarah.
Last week I wanted to take a road trip. Then I had to drive much more than usual. I think I am over it. There is no place like home. It was a joy to read this post. Bless you Debra. Glad you got the shells, did you stop for a t-shirt?
You so had me lol about wanting to be home. Nice happy pictures and you got to at least get to the ocean. Last time we went to Myrtle Beach we picked up our daughter in Greensboro where she was a student at UNCG. Long drive to the beach on secondary torn up roads about five years ago. Maybe they were better for your trip. Nice treat to be able to visit with DeVon. I don't mind to travel as long as it isn't overnight. Not worth the packing just for one day. lol You sure can appreciate your own place after being gone.
Lost for words, YOU GO GIRL!!! Just do what makes YOU happy!! hugs and love, Meg
You are so right. There are lots of people and different things each love and mine is to be home with the things I love.
I'm a home body myself so I understand what you're saying. Ray is always trying to drag me out somewhere, he just doesn't understand, I love being at home with my fur babies. :-)
I am sew glad that you got to meet DeVon she is such a lovely woman! & you & hubby look well rested & wonderful together sew it must have done you abitof good too! Hugs Loralye, But of course your right theres no place like home!
Debra, you are precious! God bless you! I like to be at home too!! it is so comfortable, I am just a "Dorothy," because there is no place like home!! Hugs and God Bless! You both look gorgeous and such beautiful smiles!
Me too. When we crossed the line back into Ohio I looked over at my hubby and said, "I am happy!" I cried tears of joy to be almost home.
oh child!!! did you not check out the Carolina's for supplies? You were in the heart of "stuff". I won't hurt your feelings now by mentioning them. You can always shop on line. Some day I am going to make it to Long Creek Mills big once a year sale. They are on my bucket list. we are so close and still so far away!!! Kay
I am always afraid of getting lost and hubby always goes the wrong way and since I am not into the business end of embroidery or anything and have spent well over $1000 doing little things for my family and friends it just isn't worth going to any of those places for me. I don't quilt or sell anything.
Thanks for letting us see your lovely pictures .so glad you gals enjoyed yourselves hugs all Carolyn
I know exactly how you feel! The more I hurt and the less able I am to get around on my own, the more I stay at home. I think I just feel safe and grounded at home and I am more comfortable. Long rides make my legs swell and they hurt so bad that I can not walk when I stand. Home is my safe place and sometimes my hide-a-way! My real love is the Tn Mountains and I have not been able to take the trip since my surgery in 2005.
My son sold my camper(gave it away) when I got sick. If I still had it, it would be easier to travel. Getting in and out would not be easy because when we took our last trip It was hard to come down the steps with nothing to hold onto. It had all the comforts of home. It was a 35' pull behind and had the works in it. I nearly had a stroke when I found out that he went behind my back and sold it plus he kept the money from the sell!
comforts of home and plenty of space. my son would sleep in the bedroom and I would sleep in my recliner..where I slept 90% of the time in the house.
Yes, I think some people are just better in their own surroundings. That's me I guess. I thought I'd like to travel but now I know better.
Hi, so happy to see your photos! Glad you got to hook up with DeVon and also that you were able to make the trip.I hope you are feeling better-Toogie
Feeling better, the pain hasn't been bad either so I didn't need too many pills.
Thank you for sharing. At least you saw and touched the ocean for a bit.
You, DeVon, and hubby are all adorable! Glad you got to go and glad you made it home. Hugs! ;)
Great pictures, Deb! Thank you for sharing and to let us know about your vacation and your meeting with DeVon. You look well, it seems to me that you have lost some weight too. Vacations are lovely but there is no place like home!
Hugs, Lidia
Thanks, yes, I have lost about 30 pounds, the nurses aren't thrilled but the doctor said it is OK if I don't lose too much. I feel better and would like to lose a bit more.
Debra, you are just glowing! And I love your hairstyle! Hugs, Jan
Thanks, the fresh air did me good I guess. The hair is just doing it's own thing right now, lol!
