Have any of you with a Husqvarna bought replacement bobbins with a V on them? They say they're original but I want to make sure they work before I buy them.

I have bought several dozen "Made for Husqvarna" green bobbins and have had no issues whatsoever using them in my Diamond. I usually buy from DAFENT (Ebay user) Store Name is GoneSewingCompany.
I also use the sidewinder to wind a nice full bobbin and they work great.
The only time I tried a pre-wound bobbin, was one the mechanic left in my machine for me to use but it DIDN'T "register" when the bobbin ran out so it kept on embroidering even though the bobbin was empty. I wasn't happy with that. LOL!!!
Hugs n roses, Meg

I love my designer 1 and have never had a problem. I also use the prewound 'L' bobbins for embroidery but was told to only use the husqvarna bobbins for sewing. They are green with a crown and H on it. Like clawton says the side with the design is larger than the bottom. My dealer warned me about 'generic' bobbins and said they really arent a good idea. Not sure why since the prewounds are not a problem. Good luck.....

Look close at the bobbin. They are made so that one side that goes over the bobbin winder is smaller than the other. It is made that way so you can't place them on the winder wrong or in the bobbin case incorrectly. Some bobbins are the same size on both sides.

The ones with H inside a crown came with my Diamond that I bought a couple of years ago.The dealer also had packets for the machine that had several different colours in the bag.I have bought green bobbins with a D on them ,from the net which have caused no problems

The ones I've gotten from the Viking store have the H & crown on them. Some other will work, but be careful! They may be the original from way back...& those often do not fit the newest machines. The bobbins are now color coded also. I had blue for my Rose & SE and now have green I use on SE & Diamond. But I think there's another color out now. Also you have to be sure they will wind on the bobbin winder of the Viking you are using.

The ones that came with my machine have an H in a little crown looking design. I haven's had to buy extras but do use the prewound size L and have had no problems with them.
