I saw this hot mat the other day at my local quilt shop and just had to make one. It is made with 5 circles. The circles are foled and stitched together. Then you make 5 yo-yos and attach to the center. I added pony beads to the centers of my yo-yos just to dress it up a little more. Hope it catches your eye as much as it did mine. Hugs, Susan

This is so simple, yet so pretty! What a neat idea for those little quickie gifts you need, like for teachers, hostess gifts, birthday remembrances, "thank you's" for someone who did something nice for you. For a real usable hot mat I'd definitely use insulbrite, and leave off the beads, as they'd probably melt. This is just so dear, thanks for sharing the idea. These circles are becoming quite the thing lately, I'm anxious to try them.

well the beauty of this, it can be any size, as long as they are all the same. use two different materials or all different. sew your circles together using a square that will fit inside your circle. be percise in measuring. you can make any size you want just keep adding until you are happy. great way to use up leftovers. Betty

want, great way to use leftover material. after sewing your circles together, cut a small hole(I usually cut in the part that will flip over and turn inside out.
