HELP!!!your personal experience is needed it, I bought boy baby bibs 5x7 from smart needle, I did one yesterday and I am not very happy with it. I do not remember how small is a newborn baby LOL but the bib looks awfully small for a regular baby, it looks to be made for prem. baby, have anyone of you done one of these 5x7 bibs, does it fit to a baby? i would like to do at least 3 more but I do not know if i want to continue,i believe i spent that money for nothing or maybe if one day i have a grandaughter I could make it to play doll with it! One more thing can i buy the 6x10 bibs and split them I have embird. Thank you

I googled baby bibs and came up with several sites. Here are a couple of links that you may like. There are many more out there. This might be the way to go and then you can embroidery on it, or applique or whatever you would like. I love making bibs and got my pattern from one of the free download sites - just wish I could remember for sure which one.

I am lucky enough to have a commercial machine and large hoop so I enlarged the design in my software and then ran. Still not big enough for a toddler as I had hoped but will fit babies up to about 5 or 6 months.

Thank you for letting us know it fits a newborn baby.

Couldn't you just stitch (by sewing machine) the finished bib minus the upper snapped on section to a finished larger bib? Just a thought.

Mary these only fit newborn to about 3/4 mo. Can you add anything to make them larger? I'm sorry they didn't work for you. But I would still let them know.

I bought them and used them on first dgs until he started eating food. They fit a newborn to about 4-5 months. It is a lot of $ but they do dress up a onesie. ;)

Contact them let you know what you think. They don't know you are unhappy with a design unless you tell them. It may also make you feel better .

I did the same thing, but wish I had contacted them. They should state the size. I felt it was in a way my fault, because I should have known the size couldn't be that big... They are cute, though. Now i'm wondering about the FSL baby shoes...

castelyn by castelyn 04 Sep 2012

I did the 1st size of a set of fsl shoes and also a bib and they were to small for a baby. Kept it for my GD's doll. Hugs Yvonne

What a pity. Hope you can still use them for some prem babies - that is if you are selling your work.

I found the same with other designers' bibs, doll-size is right. I enlarge the pattern as big as it will go but still too small. Jan

Yup, I got caught in that same trap. I ended up putting it on a doll that I have here for the granddaughters. So from now on, I buy ready made bibs and embroider on them.

I also have a 5x7 bib... you are right, they are too small for babies. Mine fits a doll. I don't know if I would continue and spend the time either.

Thank you, this company should warned the buyers 5x7 is for a doll only, instead they sale it as a regular one, and they are not cheap! I am very frustrated.
