What a wonderful bag. Love the log cabin blocks. Can't wait to see what you do with he rest. Hugs
Martime, what a great project, I'm sure you will find many projects for the rest of the blocks. :)
That's so creative, Martine, love it!! The blocks are beautifully done, too, I'm sure you'll have fun figuring out how to use them. Hugs, Marji

I LOVE LOG-CABIN and the bag you sew. THANKS YOU FOR SHARING. YOU CAN SEW A COIN PURSE OR SOME ORNEMENTS FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE. AMITIES DE FRANCE.
Thank you.
The size of the blocks varies from 8x8 inches to about 10x10 inches (about 20x20 cm to 25x25 cm), too large for Christmas decoration or coin purses, but lovely in a smaller size.
Love the bag, great way to use up left over squares.
Happy Sewing Brenda Lea :-)
how about log cabin chicken pincushions.
Saw that as Easter decorations in various sizes years ago in the magazine of the Dutch Quilter's Guilt. They make very pretty decorations,
I love the pyramid bags! She must have made some beautiful quilts, judging from the colors. Good job.
Jo
I love the pyramids too. Saw the chickens years ago in a quilt magazine and love them as lavender bags too.
She made beautiful quilts indeed.
The log cabin blocks have made a lovely, interesting bag. Well done Martine. Sarah.
It's a beauty along with the story. It's special. Maybe you've already thought of printing out your story - just as it is here - and putting it in the bag. The picture and story are also one for your memoirs...for the family and perhaps a book, From the Stash to You.
Thank you. Nice suggestion; I take pictures of most projects, and adding the story to it would indeed be nice.
Hello Martine, it´s beautifull . If you don´t know what to do with them, then you can send them to me :)
Of course I'm kidding. Such a work is so valuable that you should realy think abaout what to do with them.
Big hug to you my friend
PS: When will be the trip to Portugal??
Thank you. Trip will have to wait a while, too many trips to Norway to spend money on going south!
Beautiful! This kind of pattern I enjoy looking at and find one day this stripe a favorite and next day another.
This turned out beautifully. It's a great idea to make such a useful item out of test pieces like these. Your neighbor also did a wonderful job with her log cabin blocks. She will be amazed at your creativity!!
Martine I love it. I love the way you make use of everything. I try to do this also. Kinda comes from my upbringing I guess. Nothing was thrown out. The earliest thing I can remember is a coat made for me when I was 4 from my Aunt's old coat. I can see her now trying to get the less worn parts of the coat laid out to cut my coat out./Lillian
Thanks Lilian. I was brought up the same way and living in Europe WW2 meant rationing, so I mum just had to make do until well in the 50s. My mother had 6 sister-in-law who could not sew a button on, but were very keen to let her have an old coat to sew for one of their offspring and time and again mum managed to get something out for me or my brother as well. How I hated all that dark blue, grey and maroon, especially the grey! She often used the wrong side of the material as that was less worn or discoloured.
Great bag! With your brain, you will be making some interesting items with these blocks.
You are a super innovator! What a great idea you have had.;)
This is just soo... lovely. Why not make some more. Shirley
Thank you. These were the only blocks that had more or less the same colours and size, and I wanted them to match. They may however make great pockets on totes.
