Check out www.kenssewingcenter.com for reasonable prices and good warranty on new, refurbished, and gently loved machines! I am just a satisfied customer, no connection with the business! Ken's is a most reputable online dealer, and they are located in Alabama. He stands behind his sales, and has probably the best prices you will find! Good luck! Angel

Hi, I just bought my new Singer XL400, A combo embroidery, sewing, quilting, & serger, computerized machine. Two months ago I paid $598, (free shipping), I see it is now $100 more. It has a 6 x 10 emb area, but with multi-hooping, you can do an 11 x 19 design. You have to use it with your computer, but one feature I really love is: it will use any format you have. You won't lose any designs in your collection. It will read them all! I got mine @ http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com . You should look around. I think it is your best bet to purchase a new machine, not a used one. Its like I always say about advice, use what you like, throw away the rest! Good luck to you! Hugs, Tammy

You may want to check with a dealer to see if they have anything that has been traded in by one of their customers. Usually, the dealer will give you a good warranty with the purchase..at least that is what my dealer does...and the machine will have had a complete servicing...

You might go look on Ebay and see what you find, then look at reviews for each machine you may be interested in. You could come here and ask about a specific machine, too. If you pay with PayPal you have a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. ;)

Hi If you look for something cheap.... you are probably going to get frustrated with it. It is not going to work the way you want it to work. Save your money and get something better. You will be so much happier.Suzanne

I agree. My first one was a cheap one. Took it back 2 times the first week because it wouldn't work correctly. The business finally said it was a hunk of junk. Saved up and bough a better one and I don't regret spending more.
