WOW this is just absolutely beautiful, oh if only I could get into something like this. I just love it 2 bitz.
Very nicely done icana - like the way you finished the back as well...enjoy all your hard work, well worth the time and effort you spent making it....
Absolutely gorgeous. Take a bow. You should be very proud. What a great scrap buster! It would have taken me 2 and 1/2 months just to plan it!
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful! You should be very proud of your accomplishment.
I had to go back and search for your first picture, but I did find it. This photo of the whole quilt sure shows off all the work you did! What kind of stabilizers did you use for the embroidered blocks? When I looked at them up close, they are just perfectly stitched out. You must have a ton of threads! I wish I could see this quilt in person, it is so gorgeous!
I used a medium tear away. Yes, thread is one of my addictions. The other is designs.
Where do you live? I live in Hope Mills North Carolina. If you live close by you are welcome to come see it.
Thanks for the invitation, but I live in California! I just love scrap quilts.
I never tire of looking at the different blks.I do a close-up with my screen and just scan over.I don't see 2 alike. This is AMAZING ! I love it ! What size is your hoop? I love the different butterflies, did you get them from the same place?I also, love the flowers, the birds, the different fabrics(what a collection!),etc. Can you tell yet, how much I like it? LOL-Toogie
There are no two alike. I wish I had turned the blocks in different directions so I could rotate it around. Maybe next time. Most of the designs are from emblib. but others are from all over. After I had it on the bed, I realized one block was turned around. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful!!! Congratulations on a real stunner!!
This is a show stopper! I've seen a lot of ME quilts at shows, but I have to say that this is the best I've seen. Your embroidery lies so flat with the rest of your quilt without any bulging or fabric flopping around. I'd sort of given up the idea of making a ME quilt because I've never seen one like yours that actually has such good quilt qualities and didn't think it could be done. So you have inspired me to take on the challenge. Can you share a little about the fabric, batting, or other tips about your quilt?
I used white broadcloth for the white squares. The pieced blocks are a little of everything. I built them on 8x8 newspaper squares and then trimmed them. I quilted them on the machine. The pieced block are stitch in the ditch. I used regular high loft batting.
Wow, Wow, Wow, How Beautiful...What an inspiration. Thank you for sharing .
WOW how amazing, I think you did very good time looking at the work involed.
Hugs Pam.

Wow. You have done some beautiful work here. Love the variety of designs that you have used. Is it a king bed?
It looks great. You say 2 1/2 months, I'd be lucky with 2 1/2 years....well done.
Wow! What a way to use up scraps. This is a real credit to you. Shirley

Oh, my!! I surely hope you put a label in this, with your name and date you made it, because this is going to be an heirloom for sure!! I didn't realize it was a bedspread size quilt, that is truly amazing work. How large are your squares, 10"? This quilt/spread is a knockout, well well done!!! Hugs, Marji
