I bought the hus. Topaz 20 and it don't even cut the thread lol i love it go for it i should have lol hugs
Another Husqvarna owner here. I have the designer 1 and in the past 5 years have had absolutely never a problem. It uses all thread types and brands without a hiccup. The only time it gets grumpy is when it's my fault (but you didn't hear it from me)
Sooo to make a long story short if you have a chance to get a husqvarna and you know it hasn't been abused go for it.
I bought this machine from a girlfriend, she went on to buy the Ruby. I really like the Topaz 30. I like the ease of operation, after a bit of learning. I own a Designer SE also so it was a learning curve for the differences between them. I have computer software and don't do a lot of customizing on the machine so that is not a problem for me. I bought my 200x200 hoop and 200x260 hoop at two different online shops, for half price. One shop was "Sewing in Color" (I think) and I think I bought the other on Amazon. Right now I cannot get the machine to recognize one hoop but I believe it is a dealer problem and as soon as I can haul it to the dealer, I will. No dealership in Yuma anymore.
I can speak to the hoops for my Viking SE& when I bought it it came with a few hoops including the Mega hoop. You may want to decide what types of projects you want to do but,I've enjoyed the larger hoop for in the hoop& multiples of the smaller projects too. Also, may consider if you'd want the USb option for transferring designs or not. My dealer also included classes as a part of the purchase. Hope this helped &enjoy your choice of machine.:~D
I can't tell you anything about that machine, but I DO understand hoop envy.;)
I have had a Hus Rose,a designer 1 and now a designer SE.All very reliabel and never had a problem.I dont know the Topaz but it is a HUSQV ...so go for it
