This is wonderful! A real treat for your self. You are the cat lover!
Fantastic job, Marji! Hard to believe it might come out any better on the black velvet, but I'm sure we're all keen to see how it goes. You've lined up the extra designs so well. What a relief that the tiger didn't need to be split and lined up :)
You did a beautiful job on this and it is a bit busy BUT just like in the wild. I think it looks great on this material! Mom is protecting her young!
I think it's a happy accident as far as fabric choice is concerned. Love it...blends in and is beautiful.
Muffy :)
It is just perfect and a beautiful heirloom! Job well well done! Thanks for sharing it. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
All I can say is Wowwwwwwwwww. Sure did put yourself to the TEST. Hugs Marg
Love the face and the eyes. the tiger is hiding as in the nature
I have NOT mastered the art of rehooping and getting the design to line up. You've done a beautiful job here!
I think that using a print with the tiger emerging was a good call. If you wanted to change anything, I would go with a foliage print instead of an animal print, but I see nothing wrong with what you did here!
I look forward to seeing how it will look on black velvet. It would be like the tiger and cub emerging from the darkness. That would be a very striking scenic design as well. Great job!!
Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see it done on the black velvet. I am really impressed with your hooping. I have tried putting different designs on the same thing and can't even get that right. Is this on the back of a shirt>
I don't think it will look near as good on a plain fabric,it's not a full tiger. I think with the animal print back ground it looks like she is emerging from the jungle. If you are looking for a more real feeling, than I think you have it with the way you did it. I think the plain will give it a one dimentional, flat look. With the way it is it makes you look again to make sure it is not going to jump out at you and that you haven't missed any details.Beautiful work! Richelle
Wow you did it can't even tell where the line ups are great job ..BM
Beautiful work. I know how hard it is to line up several hoopings. I have an angel picture that took 5 hoopings. Was a real job to do that many.
Impressive embroidery skills you have there! Your thread choices were perfect. I'd would have never known that you had to rehoop. I could not tell that it was not done in a single hooping. The tiger does appear to emerge from the leaves. This would be good on a jacket back! Waiting to see the velvet version!
Beautiful. Love the way the tiger is fitting into the background just as in nature. Much prefer this look than on a solid fabric!
This is a work of art. Looks beautiful and worth all the hours of sewing out. Love it. Sarah.
It IS perfect! Wow, wow, wow. It's stunning. I like it even more on the animal print. ;)
You did a great job. I could see this with the black velvet in the middle and either animal prints or leafy prints on each side of the black. What do you plan on doing with your stitchout?
Absolutely stunning! She appears to be coming out of the jungle!
The black velvet will certainly make it eye popping!
Great job!
It is stunning. What size sre your designs?
5x7, actually a bit larger, the Janome hoop takes 5.5 x almost 8. Thanks for looking.
This is really beautiful. Love the colours and the background. Does look like she is emerging from the foliage. Well done. Will be great on the black velvet also. Lyn
Definitely needs something plainer as a background Marji the animal print takes away from the design... beautifully done though...fabulous job...
Wow! Stunning! I actually really like the background fabric. The thread gives it all the "punch" it needs. To me it looks like they are emerging from the wild.Subtle but strong. Thanks for the tip about clicking to enlarge and thanks for sharing this.
Hugs, Nadyne
Very nice. Looks like they are in their natural habitate(sp?)
Thanks, that's was the look I was going for, I picked the side designs for that reason, glad it worked.
beautiful Marji terrific detail! I agree it would look stunning on the black velvet! Hugs Loralye
Thanks, Loralye, BFC designs are intricately done, 17 thread changes on just the tiger.
A beautiful design, so many details and lovely flowers too. You stitched it out beautifully - even enlarged I can't see where the different parts begin and end. I understand it must have been nerve racking, but you did a great job!
I bet it will look stunning on black too.
Hugs, Martine
The tiger was one hooping, each flower side was separate. I had to line them up just right over and around the tiger. I just bought the velvet, can't wait! Thanks for the compliment, Martine, means a lot.
Click on the photo to enlarge it, if you didn't know that already. The colors are a bit brighter in person, I thought I'd photograph it in the sunshine, so you could see how shiny the Metro thread is, but it may be a little overexposed. Marji
