Does anyone know of a program that will take several different designs (at a time) and turn them into the same format. This would sure be useful but I don't know if it can be done. Thank you Cuties for the help.

P-E design will recognize these formats
PES- DST -EXP- PCS- HUS.
And in Database can convert all of one format to any other.
I use pulse ambassador for JEF- XXX- SEW-ART and a whole bunch of other but then one at a time.
Happy sorting Folders and designs!

Both embird and sew what pro do this. There are probably others, but these are the only two I have used.

I use SewWhatPro for 'batch converting'. It even converts files when they are zipped. It is not too expensive and the other features it has are amazing.

Buzz tools actually will convert many, many designs and many folders of designs at the same time. 4d and 5d will do pages (inside 1 folder) or lots of singles, but not multiple folders at the same time. Don't know about Embird.

In 4D & 5D Organizer you can change as many as you want. You just highlight the file or choose multiple files by holding down the control key, or select all to choose every design in the file. Go up to File and tell it to convert to embroidery and it will ask where you what them saved to, you can select where and it will convert. I always save in the same file and then since the changed filed are still highlighted I can just delete them. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for explaining this step by step for those of us who have 4D. I knew it could be done but have not been able to figure it out. Going to try it tonight.

Hi Chris, I use Buzz Tools for converting several designs at a time. I believe you can try a free 21 or 30 day for it. They may be some free programs that someone knows about, but I've been using Buzz Tools for 8 years and love it. Hugs..Carol
