Dolly send Meganne a PM she knows EMBIRD really well. Luv Chris
For those of you using Embird and Studio, I think I found a solution for the repeated stitches before the jump floating stitches.
In Studio 'create new' or open your .eof design then from the menu, click on Design, then click Parimaters.
Where it says, 'Fill tie-up Stitches:... you can control the number, I changed this to one.
Also on 'Outline Tie-up stitches' and on 'Column Tie-up stitches' you can control the nubmer, default is 3.
Save your design then compile and put into editor, you will see the changes in the repeated stitches at the float stitch.
Remember to check that there is a backwards then forward stitch to anchor before the floating jump!!
So now I am redoing my design with these changes, I'll let you know how it works.....
The only way I know how to eliminate those pesky floating stitches from stitching is to go to Editor, click the Points Editing Mode icon, drag a box around the area that has the pesky stitches, go to the "Stitches" mode to view the individual stitches (next to 3D mode at bottom). You should see the square boxes that are stitches...left click on the square box (stitch) you want to delete to select it, then right click and a menu should open up with an option to delete..click delete and the stitch should be gone..you need to do this for each stitch you want to delete..sometimes you may have to do this two or three times over the same box...as some stitches may lock of and actually take several stitches in the same place (hope that makes sense)..when you eliminate the stitches, the thread line will run from the last stitch point to the next stitch..gosh, I hope this is clear...If anyone else knows another way, I'd be interested in knowing, too...I am basically self taught with Embird..trial and error...so I have a lot to learn, too! Hopefully, Martine will come to "our" rescue..she's fantastic!
Forgot to say...This is with Basic Embird...I don't have the Studio program...
Many thanks, I have done this but once you indicate the stitch to float then it's all back!! If you do not float the stitch then you get a stitch every 1/2 inch all the way over to the start of the next outline!
It sounds like they are tie off stitches that end a color and then the jump stitch is to the next color.
I don't know embird but thought this might be something for you to consider.
Perhaps PM Martine to see if she could help you.
