I really like the colors of them! I have alot of Gerda's bear/animal patterns but have only made a couple so far. I am wondering what you use to sew them and how you are sewing them together. I apparently didn't do it right as I have a one-armed bear right now! lol
I use regular sewing thread in my embroidery machine. I use hand quilting thread to sew all the body parts together. Hope this helps. Susan
Lovely bear family. What type of stabilizer did you use under the fleece?
Love them! This can not be embroidered, or ITH right? Yep so you got me! I can't wait to see the instructions. I think I may need more ITH experience. Live Laugh Download Stitch!
It is made in the hoop. You make all the parts stuff them and then sew the bear together by hand. It's a little time consuming but I think they are worth it. Thanks, Susan
Just too adorable. You have done a great job with them. I've had this pattern for a while so thinking I need to buy some fleece after seeing your bears :)
THEY ARE too cute. I love them. GREAT JOB WHAT SOT OF FABRIC DO YOU USE : FLEECE OR VELVET? THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING. AMITIES DE FRANCE.
I think these are adorable. I got the frog for hospice children but first I made 3 for 2 for GGC and 1 for GC. I was thinking of making some of these myself and only hope I can do as good a job as you.
Hugs Joann
Just love your bears, her site really has some nice projects, well done
I just Love them!!! They are absolutely adorable! You have done a fantastic job on them. If you can part with any of them, you sure will make some little kid very happy!! Hugs & flowers to all!
How many hoopings do they take to make?
There are 7 different designs that have tobe embroidered. A couple of them can be combined in the same hooping. So I would say at least 5 hoopings are required.
I love them and I can see why you want to keep them. If you name them it will get even harder, lol. At least that is how it works for me.
Oh....they look cute. I'm sure they would at least like to visit me & see my bear collection. lol
here's Walter
These are just so lovely. I don't think I could bear to part with them either. Thanks for sharing. Shirley
I think this is the one, and it's lovely!
They are precious!
They are adorable. What type of material did you use? I went to the site and am amazed at the projects. I think I would like to try a doll.
I actually luckedout over the weekend and found some acrylic fleece baby blankets on sale. It iis a fuzzy fleece fabric, but not too thick. I consider it to be a cheap fabric since it is thin. I don't reccomend using a thick fabric because it put undo stress on your machine. Hugs, Susan
I would be keeping them all - they really are adorable. Where is the design from?
They are from www.embroidery-outlet.com The designs there are on sale till the end of September. Look under designs then click on In the Hoop. The bear I made is Wallace.
I have looked and looked but I can't find Wallace. Can you tell me how far down the page ? I want to make some for the Woman's Shelter. Thank you so much Dee
They look like the teddy Walther (row 21 under the two santas). Maybe Walther is mixed with Wallace? The heart and the sole of the feets are equal.
Greetings, Bettina
Yes, you are correct,it is Walter. Don't know where I came up with Wallace. Sorry for the confusion. We'll blame it on old age. Hugs, Susan
