wow thanks ladies, it would appear the commonality here is the soft cloth that you may (or may not) get with your pair of eye glasses. I have this too & I did not know about anything else but I am thankful for the information. My next question is: the pc should probably turned off?
Be careful what you use, not all computer screens can be cleaned the same way. My screen is glassy, so I use the optical cleaner solution that I get FREE at Costco, which is where I buy my glasses. They have a tank of cleaner for you to refill your own bottle! ...and I use the cleaners cloth that came with my first purchase of the cleaner.
I use the cloth that I have for my glasses. It was a gift from my optometrist. Came free with a $367.00 pr of glasses.;)
LOL-did you get a "free" new glass case too Jerrilyn? we have them all over the house-love the freebies =O) ~linda~
Loralye-I just use a lint free cloth-dampen one end with plain water-wipe the screen and dry it with the other end. Works like a charm for me-no extra cost & streak free. I am really obsessive keeping screens spot free-PC, Kindle Fire, touch screen fone-hate fingerprints on shiney surfaces. Now if I was as particular about sweeping & mopping, lol.
We use the lens cloths that come premoistened in a foil pack from where the optical department is at Wal-Mart. Sometimes they are in electronics and right now above the candy at the check out counters. They say to never spray liquid on the screen so if you use spray ~ spray the cloth and then wipe.
I bought a spray cleaner called Monster ScreenClean at Best Buy when I bought an LCD TV. It came with a Microfiber Cloth.
I use it on my Laptop Screen.
It says it is a cleaning kit for Home and Office Electronics.
Put the spray cleaner on the cloth then wipe the screen.
So try a shop that sells TV's.
