Here is a link to smallwunderz cushion.
Nearly all accounted for now!
Here is a photo of the beautiful pillow my secret sister made just for me !!! I love it. Thank you, SS !
Lois W.
I couldn't see the pic, but when I clicked on smallwunderz name and it took me to where this probably was to start with, I could. Very nice cushion. Well done, SS!
I received my pillow today! I Love it! Thank you SS! It will fit in my living room perfectly! To answer her question--No, I am not disappointed!!
Thanks for showing, what a lovely cushion you received. Well done SS - hugs Yvonne
What a lovely pillow. I like the tone on tone colored theme your SS used. Good job SS.
One more picture has appeared in Projects.
Latest count - we have one cushion definitely lost in the post and three as yet unaccounted for. I am particularly worried about one person who I cannot get in touch with but apart from that things are looking better than they were!
Hope that person you can not get in touch with is not seriously ill. Thanks for all the follow-up you are doing.
Sue, thank you for making this swap possible !
I love to see all of the different designs. Our SS's have all outdone themselves!!
Just wanted to say WAY TO GO ! everyone!!!
Many hugs, Bonnie
I got my cushion today and want to thank my SS for my beautiful cushion. You put a lot thought and work into this cushion. It tells a story what a mini farm is like. She put a barn for animals to go in, hays stack for animals to eat on, chicken, dwarf goat, and my rescue donkey that I raise, and she put my name on mail box. My family loves the bright colors and designs you pick for this cushion.
Thank you again my SS. Cappie
You got a great pillow there. It definitely tells the farm story. Your SS did a great job in stitching it out. And the matching fabric is great.
I have received a beautiful blue and yellow cushion. It's embroidered on front and is very lovely. It's obvious a lot of work went to create it. It will be cherished.Thank you.
I have been under the weather so I had not dropped in .
Sue, I Thank you for all your hard work.I do hope everyone who participated has enjoyed this as much as I have. This is one way to feel connected.
Lovely to hear from you and hope you feel better soon. Very glad to hear you love your cushion
Thanks for letting us know that you received your cover. Hope you feel better soon - Hugs Yvonne
Hope when you are feeling better you can post a picture. The colors sound beautiful. Get to feeling better soon.
Dear Sue, I want to thank you for all the hard work that you have done for us. We have much pleasure to do those cushion, and also to receive, and also to show with pictures how we have received marvelous gifts. *********
Beautifully said. I am the owner of a very cherished cushion thanks to Sue's brilliant organisation and my SS
I want to also add my thanks to Sue for all the hard work in putting this fun project together and doing all the follow-up on the lost in action cushions. THANK YOU Sue!!!!
To the top, so that we might get the last few posted. Well done to all SS, and thanks all for showing off your covers you received. Hugs Yvonne
If people are unable to post a picture of their cushion, could they at least be encouraged to say they recieved it, or some feedback. Most of us love to recieve, but enjoy giving even more, and to know what you have done, given and sent was enjoyed or liked or appreciatted is what it is all about, giving others pleasure. Come on guys its not that hard, we all know who we sent to, a little feedback goes a very long way, and will keep the swaps happening in the future. cheers Ruth
Sue, have you heard from anyone that did not receive her cushion?
Only one definitely not received. There are about 4 people I'm having trouble getting in touch with,
Sue - I am sorry for all the headaches with doing this, but I greatly appreciate what you have done. I would love doing this again if you are up to it. Thank you. Hopefully the rest of the cushions will show up soon.
Oh you will all be getting fed up with me soon. It has been a long time since I have been able to sit in front of the computer in total peace and quiet just browsing. I missed this cushion thingy, which I guess is about members making covers for others and sending to each other without knowing who made them. Well, at first I was sad I missed it as I would loved to have joined in, but having seen the quality of these cushion, I am glad I did not compete. These are truly lovely how clever all you ladies are. Just wonderful a real pleasure to look at. If i owned one of these, it would be placed in a position where EVERYONE could see it. Just sooooooooooo lovely. A hug to you all for being so clever and for sharing. ~x~
Oh dear, it's not meant to be a 'competition' at all! The 'swaps' are great fun and allow us often to try things we may not have otherwise. After all it is for one of our secret sisters to enjoy :) I absolutely love seeing what everyone does and the different ideas they utilise. They certainly all put lots of thought and care into them. I hope you're feeling better and might be up to joining the next 'swap'.-it's not a both ways swap, by the way. We send to one person and receive from another, preferably in the same country this time, to ease postage issues.
I know how you feel. My SS that I mad the pillow for was an expert and I am still a newbie in machine embroidery. I struggled with what to make for her for several weeks. However, I think it turned out OK, and my SS seemed to like it very much. Think about joining next time just for the fun of it. As you can see there are many wonderful ideas out there. By your name - I would say you do a lot of sewing, so I'm sure your SS would love whatever you made.
I missed this as I have been ill, would you kindly tell me what is was/is all about please.
Thank you
Sewdewsbury put together a exchange of pillow covers for everyone that was interested. This is a posting of the pillows that were made and received by our secret sister (SS). It has been a lot of fun to make, receive, and look at all the pillows that have been made. If you are interested in joining the next one what for a post by sue and let her know you are interested.
Here it is...the most beautifully sewn cushion cover for my "Looney Bin''! It is so perfect, and I LOVE the colours! I must deeply and humbly apologize for being so unforgiveably late in posting. [Life seems to get in the way of doing what we really want to do, eh?]However, excuses should NOT be acceptable for not showing off this wonderful piece of work, so thoughtfully and pain-stakingly put together. Thank you so, sew much, Secret Sister. I absolutely LOVE it!
Beautifully sewn- love the colours. Well done SS you have put a lot of thought into this cushion cover.
That was worth the wait. It's beautiful. Well done SS and thanks askmcv, for putting up the pic.
What a lovely cushion cover, I do love the choice of print and colours, very complimentary. Well done SS.
hugs n roses, Meg
Your SS did a wonderful job on your pillow. Thank you for sharing it with us.
http://www.cuteembroidery.com/899...
and here is another beautiful cushion
Thanks for adding the link, would not have have wanted to miss seeing such a delightful cushion. hugs n roses, Meg
As a matter of interest, did most of you take a photo of the cushion you made before it left home? I try to always take pics of items I sew for others, but occasionally I'm in such a hurry to send, that I forget to.
Marianne
Yes, I did Marianne. I try to keep copies of all the projects that I do. But like you, I some times forget. I keep them in a Project file with sub files. So that I can show customers. Hugs Yvonne
Always take pictures of my work just in case I want to reference colors etc for another project.
I try to take photos of all my projects , but sometime I just get too busy and forget
I'm glad lots of you do record what you make. It's so easy to forget. I was looking for a photo of what designs I'd used Mylar with recently and had forgotten how many I had done until I saw the pics, LOL. It's possible for future exchanges, that we might find another way to view the items received where some recipients can't manage to get a photo loaded of what they get :)
I still have not seen that my SS received her gift. Hugs Yvonne
The waiting is hard on those who've put in such an effort to make something for their partner. What country are you in, 'thecraftycritter'?
Mailed it within the USA on September 10th. Maximum time from coast to coast usually no more than 5 days.
Another sitting alone at the post office. However, with the change in the structure of our postal service - I think we have regressed backwards. Hope you SS gets it soon.
Collect my pillow cover from post office today. Thanks so much Sue for giving me the tracking number, as I did not get a slip to say that it arrived from the post office.
To my SS thank you so much, it is beautiful. Will keep it on my chair in my sewing room. I have taken the pictures with my phone, so it might not show how beautiful it really is.
Hugs and love Yvonne xxx
WOW- a lot of thought and work in this cushion cover and a beautiful job on its making- well done SS
This is lovely! Well done, SS. How sad for it to have been sitting at the Post Office all alone. One would hope they'd send a '2nd' card if the item had not been collected (in case the first ended up elsewhere).
Thank goodness that my SS passed on the tracking number to Sue who forwarded it to me.
The post master said that they had sent 2 slips, well non to my post box.
Hugs Yvonne
What a Lovely black and white cushion. This is truly a one of a kind and I'm envious over her fabulous stippling!
Well done SS! hugs n roses, Meg
Your SS did a great job. Glad it was found and that you can share it. Would have hated for it to be lost at the post office forever.
Its good to know that my ss got hers. So glad she likes it!
It's such a relief, I agree, when the photos are posted and we can see they've been enjoyed.
so sorry I have delayed sending this pic of my lovely cushion. I was thrilled it was just what I would have got for myself thank you s.s.
What a fantastic cushion. I love it. Well done, SS! Thanks for showing us all, Suelyn.
WOW! What fabulous fabric and I love the great text. Well done SS. hugs n roses, Meg
The fabric with all the cotton reels on is amazing. She really put a lot of thought in to it didn't she. Suelyn
Just noticed how many flowers you now have, Sue. How blooming beautiful your garden is :) Well deserved, each one of them.
I ewciwvws mine...I have to find my camera now...I have been working 10 and 11 hour days everyday..Mine id WONDERFUL AND PIRFECT...MY SS KNOWS MY HEART FOR SURE, BECAUSE IT HAS A CROSS IN IT...THANKS AND WILL POST AS SOON AS I CAN...
Sounds like you days have been as bad as mine - I told my corporate people that I am too old to be putting in that kind of hours...it cuts into my sew time.
Look forwards to seeing the picture but glad to hear ithe cushion cover has arrived
Looking forward to seeing what you've been sent. Maybe it can travel to work so that someone can photograph it for us all to see :) Your partner will be so relieved to hear it's arrived and been enjoyed, anyway.
I have to say Oops - I thought that I was putting my pictures and comment in here - messed up. But Love the cover and will try to add here.
How very pretty and unusual -and unusual is great! It helps us think of other things to try. Well done, SS, and thanks D for showing it to us all.
What a lovely and unique cushion, such beautifully stitched designs. Well done SS. hugs n roses, Meg
Thanks so much for showing pictures of all the beautiful covers. Well done to all. Big thanks to Sue for all the hard work that she puts into doing this for us. Hugs Yvonne xxx
Sue, thank you so much for all your hard work! I have not seen mine posted yet, I continue to be patient. I hope she likes it.
Hugs, Bonnie
I think you waited a long time on the last swap too, Bonnie. I hope we all get to see a pic of yours soon.
Hi Sue, I've sent you an email. My SS has not collected hers from the post office as yet. Hugs Yvonne
I don’t envy your job at all Sue but do appreciate all the heart and soul you put into out swaps THANKYOU
Monika
Back in June when Sue considered giving up on the exchanges because of difficulties, 39 comments and 82 flowers indicated that many wished for her to continue. Now just three months later it appears that many Cuties haven't learned to accept responsibility for their actions. One week after the due date and just slightly over half have fulfilled their obligation. Shame on those who may have destroyed the chance for another fun exchange.
I hope that Sue is not discouraged by this, She works so hard on this and we are the ones that benefit from it. Thank you Sue.
That is a bit harsh, but I appreciate your support. I am sure that there are very good reasons for some of the missing cushions. (BUT NOT ALL OF THEM! LOL through gritted teeth.)
there are sometimes in life when things just can't or don't go as we hope they would. Good enough reason. You are doing a great job sue.
I am getting quite concerned. I have been trying to get in touch with everyone to see if their cushions have arrived and am not getting many replies. Some people seem to have dropped off my radar completely.
School Holidays in Australia Sue and we are known to all leave home for greener/warmer pastures during school hols. Don't know what is stopping others from posting here.
Let's try and keep it on top until they all see it and post their cushions. OK Ladies??? hugs n love, Meg
All of the Australian ones are accounted for (not necessarily pictured though.)
Just having a look to see what others have received and to also say 'Thanks Sue' for your efforts in arranging this great swap. How many cushions are still in the post?
About 15 haven't appeared here - that doesn't necessarily mean they are still in the post though.
I looked in all the other sections for more pillow pictures. I always chose the final section to find the pictures of our SS projects.
It is now found!
Still have not seen my ss pillow yet, but I am a patient person, that is, on occasion. I will check tomorrow!
Hugs to all, Bonnie
It looks like the SS's have done very well in their gifts. Deffinately some lovely cushions made. Congratulations & flowers to all.
My cushion arrived today, I would like to thank my Secret sister for her lovely work, as you can see she is obviously very talented.
Well, I would say the person who did this is an expert! Well done on the embroidery and also on the zipper and putting it all together. It is stunning! Luv Chris
WOW Ruth, I love the colour combination, Blue Roses? Who'd have thought of blue roses? They look rather different and I can't remember seeing that design anywhere before either, hmmm? I must search for it. Is it done on satin? Well done SS, very lovely.
Hugs n roses, Meganne
How beautiful is this..I love the brown/blue colour combination -.well done SS
Chris, I had to look for the zipper once you commented. I agree -great job on that part too.
LOL the edit button has an interesting 'quirk' for me. I keep losing spaces when I use it.
Beautiful. I love blue &/or lavender roses - (don't see very often). Your SS did a great job.
Apologies to my SS in not posting the photo of her super cushion. I am so pleased with it. It is beautiful and will be cherished. The design I have found is from Embroidery Library. The detail of the sunflowers is amazing, my photo does not do it justice. The background fabric is linen fabric. When I sent out my details I said the cushion would go on the long seat in the dining room, but I have changed my mind and it will live in the sitting room for all to see. Forgot to add that my husband loves it too. So my SS, thank you, thank you, thank you, I just love what you have made for me.
In the first paragraph there should be a EARLIER at the end of it. I had been challenged with computer problems at home for a few days so havenot been able to put a picture up earlier
Oh this is gorgeous. I'm not a lover of sunflowers (for myself) but Emblibrary has some truly lovely designs that I have found myself buying, my sister loves sunflowers. What I am getting to, is that this design is truly Striking and grabs one's attention and admiration at first glance. Well done SS, it is a lovely cushion.
hugs n roses, Meganne
Love the sunflowers. They are our state flower. Your SS did a great job with them. Thanks for finding the site and letting us know.
Surely there must be many more cushion covers still to post here.
I know it is school holidays here in Australia, so many people may be away, but what about the rest of the world wide SS members?????
I sent mine out the first week of Sept and it hasn't been posted and I know that this cutie know how to post pictures. I hope that there isn't a problem.
I have received my cushion cover today and love it. It is a crazy patch and matches in well with my quilt on the lounge. Thank you heaps Raelene
OH this is lovely Raelene, I love the patchwork with a difference, having little bees flying through it. Well done SS! hugs n roses, Meganne
Lovely! I may just have to join in the next time. Problem is, I never know when I am going to stay up long enough to get anything done! My legs have to be elevated most of the time. I am not much good anymore! I am praying fo the day that my right leg finally gets well and stays that way! I am do not trust myself any longer. I get very little of anything done.
Thank you Secret Sister. I received your beautiful cushion cover Today. My whole family is thrilled to receive a meaningful theme based cushion cover. With all the 3 important events held in UK for the 2012. Neat work.
I had been to UK in 1978, Stayed Croydon Redhill. Saw everything in London. Hope to visit again.
Thank you . God bless you for your creativity.
Bernadette
What a unique pillow. Your SS did a great job - and it sounds like she brought back lots of memories.
Everyone did such a nice job on the pillows. I'm sorry I had to miss this. My machine was in the shop.
I've just caught up with Scottie who is thrilled with her cushion.
Oh how gorgeous is this!!!! Well done SS, what an awesome Lion head! Hugs n roses, Meg
This is a great one. I really like it. Thanks for putting the pic up for us to see, Sue. I keep coming back to this page hoping to see more pics, but they seem to be coming so slowly! How many were in this exchange this time, Sue?
Dear SS thank you so much for my cushion. I love it and it will match my new dining room so well.
Love
Scottie
Very nice lion. Your SS did a great job stitching it out. I also like the FSL flowers she added to it.
My SS must have peeked in my bedroom window to come up with this pillow. I said that my bedroom colors were jewel tones and you can see how beautiful it is on my bed. Thank you SS.
That is so attractive. It really suits your 'jewel tones'. Nice job, SS! Thanks for showing us all, as well.
The "flower" is a bow made with wire edge ribbon that is also the trim on the pillow. It attaches with velcro so it is removable.
This looks beautiful and from the instructions sounds easy to produce. An idea to add to 'to do' list
Your pillow is a pretty packaged all wrapped up. Lovely color. Your SS did a nice job.
I need to get on the bandwagon and become a Secret Sister...what's the next opportunity to be a Secret Sister..and what are the rules?...Thanks....
Should be Christmas. you will need to watch for the announcement from Sue Dewsbury, because she IS the Secret Sister, in every way. :-))))
Thank you Sue. hugs n roses, Meg
now this is where I am to put my beautiful SS cushion! I absolutely LOVE IT! It is the exact colors & theme that I have asked for! I will treasure it & everytime I look @ it or show it off I will be sew proud to say that A CUTIE MADE IT JUST FOR ME! Thank you sew very much! HUGS Loralye
I'm not so much into Christmas decorating as a rule, but this is gorgeous! Well done, SS.
This is a wonderful use for EL designs, I really love it!!! And it is so appropriate for SNOW time. :-)))
Well done SS!!!!! hugs n roses, Meg
Better watch out if I come visiting- I too love Christmas cushions- well done SS
Beautiful Christmas pillow. I love the fringe around it - it just sets it off. Silver and blue are great colors for Christmas and winter. Good job to your SS
wow these cushions are awsome..
congratulations to all for your very beautiful work :-)
I received my pillow cover !!! It fits with my sewing room color scheme perfectly!
I have always liked using the variegated thread too !
The embroidery is great too ! Perfect for giving to a Cutie sister.
The name tag from the back is just what I like ! You must have been reading my mind SS ! A million thank you hugs
Bonnie
What a warm and friendly looking cushion this is. No wonder you love it. Great going, SS.
A lot of thought has gone into this for you Bonnie. Well done SS, very pretty. hugs n roses, Meg
Beautiful color and design. Your SS did a wonderful job. I like the idea of the tag on the back. Wish I had thought of something like that.
Great to see such beautiful work from all our cuties You have done yourselves proud.. hugs Raelene
I got a wonderful pillow cover. It is light green with fine blue & tan stripes in it. The colors are will be perfect in my living room. SS thank you - I love it. You did a beautiful job making this. I will love looking at it and thinking about sitting on that bench under the arbor of flowers watching the butterflies go by. (I just hope my picture does it justice.)
This one is such a relaxing garden scene. I think I'd have to take it outdoors with a cuppa and a book and while away some time. Nice work, SS.
Beautiful cushion- very inviting for a quiet corner, a cuppa and a book . well done SS
Received my beautiful pillow cover that suits me to a T. Love birds and the bright colors are perfect on my navy couch. Thank you SS
I think these birds are from Cute, aren't they? Nice birds, anyway and really make a nice bright gift. Good job, SS.
I love the Jacobean bird designs, I also thought they were from Cute, very nice usage. Well Done SS. hugs n roses, Meganne
I'm was so thrilled to receive my 'Australian' cushion cover. The colour choice is PERFECT ( compliments my mustard-coloured lounge and neutral walls). I'll be able to have it on display around the year, even for Christmas - how good is that.
Thankyou my SS - a great deal of thought and love went into making my cover and I love the wording on the back.
Hugs and Sparkles
Denise
Denise nice to see you on here have not heard from you in a ahile
I love your pillow your secret sister did you good.
Lenamae
OH WOW! That turned out stunning. Well done SS, it's lovely. hugs n love, Meg
This is lovely, and a good representation of a homestead in a country town. Really nice, SS.
I just love the embroidery on the back its a great idea. The front of the cushion is lovely too
Is there any set rules on not sending any more gifts to our SS until the next drawing of names. I was thinking about how nice it would be to have the same SS for a year starting the first of JAN. and making or giving a small gift every month, and then in Dec. we could let our SS know who we were. Has this ever been done before? What does very one think?
I'm afraid this would be very difficult as, apart from a central core of regulars, a different group of people take part in each swap. Also there are plenty of people around here who do not know the meaning of the word "small"!!!!
not only, if you have to send every month a parcel..some people do not have too much money to do this on a regular base.
Think I would be challenged to find the time for this idea. I also agree with Sue about some putting more than the agreed amount in the gift. It will put some off from participating due to the cost.
There's no reason why you or anyone else could do some private swaps in between Cute swaps, you know. They just wouldn't be secret like our usual Cute one. You could either find someone who is at a distance you don't mind posting to, or if you don't mind where it is, just ask if anyone would like to exchange with you.
I haven't received one yet and Sue assures me that the apron that I received was not from the SS for the pillow exchange. So to whoever sent me an apron, thank you.
Don't forget to post a picture of your apron if you haven't done so already. :-))
Sorry I'm a bit slow posting mine as there was some confusion when a second one arrived in the mail, from a different State than the first, so I was worried that it might not have been meant for me.
Thanks Sue for clearing up my confusion with your persistence and thank you to my very dear Secret Sisters. When I finally opened them I was SOOOOOO happy that I didn't have to part with either of them.
They are both so gorgeous and in fabric colours that I love. If I didn't know better I'd be thinking my SS's collaborated on them because the colours complement each other so well and they will look lovely sitting together on my cream lounge.
The gorgeous pattern stitched on the first one is so lovely it is mesmerising and I love the addition of gold metallic thread around the frame. There was also a sweet little gift tag, carried by little white felt rabbit.
The second cushion is done in appliqué cats and I must mention that I discovered, quite by accident, that this cushion cover is almost reversible.
Thank you both so much, I will cherish them always Hugs and roses,
Meg
PS. the second one was sent as a Secret thank-you from a grateful SS.
Please don't forget to click on the photo's and have a close up look at the beautiful embroidery design, so much work went into stitching it out that you really should see it up close to appreciate it. HNR< Meg
These are really nice. Those kittens are so cute. I love the pattern in first one. Your SS and your SS thank you did a great job.
Great cushions Meganne. The top one has so much detail in it, truely amazing
take this to the top so it can be found for more pictures on Fri.
For those who want to keep looking for the secret word hidden in the trees on my cushion :)
Wow, there is a word hidden in there. Hope you show and tell one of these days. I don't see anything even when I enlarge the picture more.
I think I found it Starts with f and ends in d. Hope that doesn't spoil it for others
hugs Raelene
You got the first letter right, Raels! Turn the last letter you found upside down and you're nearly there :) It's probably longer than you thought. That d is around the middle.
This is a bit funny, when I used the edit button over this comment, it looked fine then when I submitted there were 2 spaces missing. I tried it twice :)
I had to give up looking. My eyesight is very bad and my specs aren't helping so this was doing my head in. LOL!!!!
After a lot of eye strain I have finally got it. It was what I thought but has extra letters which I have now found
Has anyone found the whole word and can you let us know what it is? I can see a d, but that is all. Driving me nuts, as I am usually pretty good at this type of stuff....
I am great at find a word's and puzzles, but I've never been able to see the pictures inside those trick photographs. It doesn't help having astigmatism and being short sighted as well as being cross-eyed. LOLOLOL!!!!!
Please tell us the secret word. I, like Meganne, can't see the pictures inside the photos even though I've stare at it for ages. Not sure why this happens.
Just got my pillow cover. I love it. I have to keep my eyes on it when my daughter comes to visit. She collects snowmen. Thank you so much SS. This time doing anything like this. Thanss again.
Oh, well done SS! I bet it makes you feel all festive Brenda. It's lovely. Hugs n roses, Meg
My cushion is beautiful. It is sunflowers embroidered on linen fabric. I am delighted with it. Not only am I delighted but so is my husband. I am unable to get my photo up for 36 hours, apologies.
Hey Cuties if you click on the photo's they will open in a larger screen like they do in Projects/ How Great is that!!!
I have been thoroughly spoilt by receiving not one but 2 cushion covers (I've also sent 2). Both of mine are absolutely beautiful and, in one of those weird coincidences in life, both contain a really similar print fabric of trees! Both are also closed with black buttons & both came from different places in New South Wales (if they weren't as sneaky as I've been known to be, anyway!). Thanks so much -both of my SS. I love them both, and especially all the thought that went into them.
These are so unique and beautiful. Very nicely done SS. I never would have thought about closing them with buttons.
These are lovely - I do seem to have inadvertently started some strange goings on in Australia!
Oh WOW! Marianne they are both to die for and isn't it amazing that the tree fabric looks identical.
OH your SS's did such a fantastic job. I am SO glad you didn't have to part with one of them, you certainly could not have chosen between them. Well done SS's.
Hmm? Now I am wondering which SS did which?
And yes Sue, it has been great fun!!! :-)))
The tree fabric is similar, Meganne, but not quite the same. I did forget to mention that in the one I've numbered 2, there is a secret word hiding in the trees in the upper panel. What a great idea.
I zoomed in as close as I could and I thought I could make out the word PEACE. yes, no?
no :) I'll give you a hint. There are 2 x i (you might see their dots if you look hard).
I'll have to add another pic a bit closer for those who want to keep guessing the secret word. I'll 'add comment' again so I can add another pic :)
What a thrill for you 2 beautiful cushion covers and fancy having them of similar fabric and in their making- they both also have binding around the edge- WOW -well done SS's
Oh my goodness i am so thrilled my SS sent me my couchon cover and a suprise I did not know how to post it but the suprise in in community by it self and here is my coushion ,willl try to post togather Yhank you my SS I love them
hugs Lenamae
Well LenaMae, we all know how special you are and the 'extra's' are special too, just for you.
Hugs n roses Meganne
Very nice Sunbonnets always make me smile as they make me think of my mom and g-ma.
Well done SS- Lenamae well deserves this lovely present.
Hugs and Sparkles to you both
Here is my cushion - in place on the sofa where I can usually be found lurking! It features a design of a gumato (a type of drum)and violin both of which are used in Mando music in Goa. I wouldn't have known this but my SS kindly included the background information. Just out of shot on the left is my sitar which may also feature in the music so the design is highly appropriate.
How very unusual and so appropriate for you Sue.
Well done SS, thinking outside the square. :-)
hugs n roses, Meganne
This is very pretty. I wonder if she digitized the design herself. It is very stunning.
Perfect gift for someone as musical and well informed as yourself, Sue. Nice job, SS.
I do not know if it is the good place to put the picture, but I cannot wait to share with you just now;
I have received a wonderful cushion, with delightful roses, the fabric, has freshes colours, and I like all those flowers. Thank you very much to my SS who has made a cushion that I love so much.
How beautiful that is Claude, I love those Roses in the design. Well done SS, lovely cushion cover.
hugs n roses, Meg
Absolutely lovely. Those pinks go so well with the rose centre. Well done, SS.
Beautiful- great choice of colours and design- well done doclaudenicolas' SS.
oppps forgot to add my photo sorry
Oh I love the design on this and the cushion itself is unique. Well done SS. hugs n roses, Meg
Very nice pillow cover. I like the design. I envy people who can think outside the box.
I like the effect of the 'pointy bits' (whatever they are called!). It's good that these swaps show us different things to try.
Love the saying in the middle. Someone has spent quite a time making this cushion, its great
Ok i"ll start the thread.
I recieved the most stunning Peacock cushion cover. And it goes so well with the caravan colors. Also a suprise cushion cover .. An Appliqued Angel with Hearts & Flowers. Oh I am so lucky . Thankyou to my SS for the thought that went into making these. :))
Wow Pauline, these are beautiful, well done too to the secret cushion person. Luv Chris
WOW! They are both so different and so lovely. Well done SS. hugs n roses, Meg
I love the peacock. It is so bright. Wish I knew where your SS got the design. One of my SIL has peacocks on her farm and loves watching them. I would love to make something like that for her. Your SS was very generous and talented.
Your SS was really making sure you received something you like, it seems! They're both lovely. Well done, SS.
Lucky you and lucky caravan. Alot of work went into these- well done nonna's SS
