it's all applique, it looks like even the background strips are appliqued in place. Very striking quilt and no ribbon - bummer.

Hey don't shoot me, even the mods are getting confused by all the choices! Not really, but I did forget to mention the other Categories. Oooops.:-)

It is gorgeous. Judges are biased just as we are. I am sure it was still admired by all who attended.

I can understand that this quilt catches your eyes.It looks so vivid. The decisions of a jury are often very "mysterious". Hope that those quilter sees by chance that her quilt was treasured by you :o)
