I agree, it is a gorgeous quilt! I can never understand what the judges are looking for as none of the winning quilts I have seen at shows have been ones I would have picked. hugs n love, Meg
PS you could also have posted this in sewing or crafts (I think, sewing)
Hey don't shoot me, even the mods are getting confused by all the choices! Not really, but I think I did forget to mention the other categories to you. OOOOOPS! :-))
This is gorgeous!! She gets a ribbon from "Cuties"!!

Thanks for reposting, I missed it before - this should have won a ribbon. Looks like he will swim out of the block..
Wow!!! Unusual and striking. I don't quilt so I am always impressed with the quilts and how much work involved. The Quilt Expo will be here in the Atlanta Oct. 18- 20th. I hope to go.
What a lovely quilt! I agree that it should have received some sort of an award. At least she's getting recognition here on Cute, and understands how much enjoyment you got from her labor of love.
I was lazy so I just copied my answer from the other post:
I can understand that this quilt catches your eyes.It looks so vivid. The decisions of a jury are often very "mysterious". Hope that those quilter sees by chance that her quilt was treasured by you :o)
Greetings, Bettina
Wow! It looks like that turtle is coming right out of that quilt! It's a winner to me!
