This is just a tip for those who use invisible zippers. Since they are limited in colors, I just buy white and go to my local hobby shop with a fabric swatch. There are many, many different colors in model paint ,I usually always find a close match. Before you sew zipper in garment, paint the zipper stop with the model paint (takes 2 coats). Let dry thoroughly (I wait a couple of days) before installing zipper in garment.

You're adventurous aren't you? Nancy. How did you think of this? I have got some coloured invis. zips but will try your tip next time I need to. Jan.

I used to use nail polish, then a friend told me about the model paint. I go to a hobby shop that specializes in models, plastic soldiers, etc., they have more of a selection than regular craft stores.

thanks for the tip.
I always wondered if there was a paint to use for something like that.

I have put things in the washer with cold water with no problem. You might have to touch up every once in awhile. I have not put things in the dryer with it, don't think that would work well!
