Today's experiment - ITH stockings. The first one is patchwork with an open top. The second one is zipped. The zip is concealed under the fur (shown in the third picture.)

Sorry but it won't work any smaller - in a 4x4 format the zip would only be 2 inches long!

In general you treat velcro like you treat an applique - the velcro is where the fabric goes. One "applique" for the scratchy part and one "applique" for the softee part. This one would take some engineering on how it was built in order to do in a single hooping and still make it a reasonable size. The hidden zipper is a really nice thing for this one !
