I am more than lucky. I have a large sewing room one half of which holds two 6' x 3' blown plastic tables, one for cutting and the other holds my embroidery machine and normal sewing machine. My Babylock serger sits on a portable small sewing table. The machines are always available for use.
The down side to so much room is that I can s.p.r.e.a.d my projects and their various bags and other needs and piles of fabric dumped after searching for just the right scrap so that my sewing room is in desperate need of tidying attention. My cutting table has become a dump-the-junk area. I must get out there and tidy up!!!!
Worse..... I am in the process of putting together a six-foot metal shelving unit to hold boxes of notions and other needs, maybe a few small dolls, and I can't get near the wall where it is going to stand!!!!!!!!
The other half of the room is supposed to be, and it once was, a place where I can sit and hand-sew, listen to my music, read or knit in quiet and peace, a place where I can look out of the picture window and watch the silver birch fronds playing in the breeze. Idyllic, hey???...... :}
It's really is a case of plans of mice and men oft times going astray.

I have a high dressing table with a mirrow, that was never being used, so now its in my sewing room and has my embroidery machine on it. Another sewing machine sits on a small old wooden desk. Whatevers available I guess is my style, lol!

I am using metal office type desks that I used to do school work on when I taught. They are very sturdy and the drawers all very useful for storing supplies. The surface is large enough to support the extra fabric so it doesn't hang down off the side which can distort the stitching.
I am very fortunate. My handsome hubby made both my sewing and serger tables for me. My machines are always ready to be used.
Hi I love my Horn sewing machine cabinets and cutting table. My machine is always out! Love Chris
For one of my machines I use a regular sewing cabinet. Has lots of drawers and extra space. I have had it since the 60's. For the other embroidery machine and my sewing machine I have a corner computer desk I use. It works out real well for the machines.
I use two old knitting machine tables held together with tie wraps and gaffer tape. Waste not want not!
I'm using an older metal desk. It's very sturdy and offers lots of space--even though it's not so pretty. They can be purchased quite cheaply at second-hand stores or government surplus and estate sales.
