Great bags Sue. You just keep coming up with the best ideas. Hugs Joyce
The zippered one gave me the idea to make it like a zippered bag and stitch around leaving the top open. Then you have a zippered area and an open pocket. Two for One.
I had wondered about using the zipped owl purse design I started with as a pocket like you describe, but I thought I might add a loose one for inside!
Love em! Waiting..going on 3 weeks..for my 4 yr old Diamond Viking to have the motor, transformer & something else to be replaced! I think the parts must be on a slow boat from China! Can't do these until I can use my large hoops! I, again, say "Viking machines aren't what they used to be." But hope to post some owls soon!
Very clever! I can see how the second owl lended itself to a zipper. You must have had to add a little fabric to insert it. Did you use a heavier stabilizer to the owl to keep him a little stiffer?
The fabric above the zip is double and forms a little flap to hide the zip. I used the same denim as the bag to line the bottom part of the pocket to give it more body.
You amaze me. Your designs are lovely and so versatile. Thank you
very cute! wanted to make some soon but; will have to wait until my broken wrist heals. until then will have to enjoy all of the wonderful projects on cuties!
Pretty cool! I hope to make your design today! I am so excited! Thank you!
I like all three but adding the zipper is like frosting on a cupcake
You are incredible! This is wonderful because I love making bags.
Love them and the concealed my favorite don't loose things as easy. But both ways have great use.
