Lee haven't been able to comment for a long, long while. Want you to know I have been following you and reading your posts. Keep doing as the Dr. advises and I hope for the best for you. I have a diabetic daughter and she controls hers with pills and her diet. She inherited hers but from my experience I will not be surprised if one day she is on insulin. She is 55 and does love to eat what's not good for her. Keep up the good work/Lillian
Thinking of you and hoping & praying that sugar level stablizes very soon.
That's a really high glucose level. You're lucky you didn't pass out. Glad to hear they think they can get it under control & you won't need the insulin, but hey if you do there are a lot worse things that can happen. Right? Hugs & many prayers being sent your way. Arlene
So far I am still reading between 250 and 415 so I have to adjust how much insulin I take every 6 hours till we get it to normal stages for several readings in a row. This is not easy!
No it is not easy. And with your being this high you definitely need to keep a close eye on it. Once you get it to normal you still need to watch it.
Hi Deb, blood sugar can be really hard to control, especially if you enjoy eating - LOL. I have Type 2, so I know those needles all too well. Just keep an eye on it and remember that insulin is your friend. How are you feeling other than that??? Hugs and prayers, Jan
Happy for you to be able to control this sudden increase of bloodsugar. Hope it is not a recurring thing. All the best to you. My prayers are still up for you.
Sheesh! What happened to cause that? I'm glad that there is a quick solution! Hugs for you. ;)
The steroid that was for pain in my hip did all of this, caused the fall, vision changes, foggy brain and more.
Oh no. I am glad that you told us what caused all this. I have been thinking about you. I was very concerned. Please take care. The steroids are sometimes a necessary evil. In your case they were more evil then necessary. Please, please take care of yourself.
I hope you are getting your sugar level down to where you will no longer need the insulin. Thinking of you often.
Angie
Debra, so glad you're getting control of this. I don't understand about not needing the insulin after this but I'm not very familiar with Diabetes. I pray things continue to go right and you manage your sugar level. I'll keep you in my prayers!

Debra, my friend going through chemo had a similar experience with her blood sugar. She had to stop the chemo after two treatments because of other horrible side effects, and her blood sugar returned to normal.
Since reading your posts, I think of you often and send positive, healing thoughts your way. ((Hugs)) Denise
During chemo it wasn't this high but I've been off chemo for a couple of months now.
Good heavens woman! What have you been eating?
Slabs of chocolate cake with chocolate icing and cherry cream filling????
Seriously though, I do hope you can get your BS level under control and not have any further problems.
I was thinking of you and a comment I made a few days ago, and I was inspired to create this design. It's 5.08 x 4.02 inches.
If you'd like it, email me with your format and I'll send it to you.

Meg this is a wonderful design (love the animation) but Debra has only a 4x4hoop ;o) Maybe only the smiling man in the moon?
Greets, Bettina
Thanks Bettina, I had a feeling that Deb only had a 4x4 hoop but just wasn't sure. I'll redesign it so it will fit. Not sure she has even seen it yet. :-)
BTW, the chocolate cake and cherry filling sounds good but no, nothing so good. I've even been watching what I eat more than I ever did before!
OH, I sent you an email, if I got it right, to let you know I'd like that design in 4x4. Thanks so much!
Oh MY GOODNESS! Debra.... So glad you are getting this under control.... that was a scary things. Take care of yourself... Hugs...T
Please keep a check on that blood sugar level, Debra. The pressure in your eyes had to have been tremendously high, and the reason to have you in for a checkup so quickly. No wonder you were falliing or stumbling! You are still my heroine! I admire your stamina through all your medical difficulties! Stay strong and positive; my prayers are still ongoing for you each day!
Hugs, Angel
You are having quite a roller coaster ride with these health issues. I am so glad you and your doctor are working well together and that you should have normal levels in a few days.
Wow that was high. It is a wonder why you did not go into shock. Do you think that is why you fell the last time? Good to know the doctor is on it and you are feeling better..Suzanne
Good news, Debra! Thank you for the update.
Love and hugs, Lidia
Good news! I always like hearing good news so lets hope it continues. Juanita
Dear Debra, you are always in my thoughts and prayers! I'm glad the blood sugar level is dropping down. Love and hugs, Yoriko
That are good news Debra. One point less on your list :o)
Hugs to you my dear
Bettina
Wow! Glad to know you will not be on it longer than you need to temporarily;>) Hugs, Prayers and God Bless!! ro
That is scary high. So glad it's on the way back down to a normal reading. Your vision will clear up also as it goes down. Big Hugs!
Two years ago hubby diagnosed with diabetes. However, Vitamin D was deficient (14). When we got the Vit D level up past 34 the blood sugars dropped to normal and have stayed there. We are so grateful, no pills. We do be careful what we eat though. His mom, two grandmas had diabetes so we knew possibly he and our kids should watch carefully.

Right now I am on 8000 units of D3 but I started that just before all this came on.
