Combining bits and pieces of designs.

For all of you who are unsure of what is allowed, please read this article on Designs by Sick.

Once an embroidery design is legally in your posession, it is yours to do with as you please (the same as if it were a copyright protected book): resize, take apart, change colors, etc. Any design not created entirely by yourself (be aware of any copyright restrictions on clipart used) cannot be claimed as your own, resold, or distributed to others. Some limitations placed upon "licensed designs" by the digitizer or distributor may not be recognized as binding under copyright laws.

thank you for this Martine,
I often wonder about this and just this weekend sent a PM to moyed asking if I could cut something out of her design to add something else.
When I am not sure (TOU) then I find another option because I do love
combining designs to make a larger picture.
thanks again
Michelle
