It states clearly that you can't save the design when using the trial version:
Demo version has a stitch limit and saving of the finished design is not enabled.

Does this mean the trial version is just to practice and learn? How do we know it will stitch out right? I'm thinking of going with Embird.

I'm afraid you have to believe the users of the program. Many Cuties use it and it has never disappointed me.
As far as digitising is concerned: I have made snowflakes (names) in 5D and hated the amount of jump stitches; in Embird it was so easy to get rid of most jumps. And as for stitching I think Embird gives as good a result as the far more expensive 5D.

I am a believer lol .. I love all the work I have stitched out from most of you...I am just going to have to save up to buy the program now...I did find it very easy to learn..Having a graphics background helped I am sure..
