Absolutely outstanding. I said I wanted to see it when it was all done - I just didn't know you had it up. The young man you made this for will love it. It will be a keepsake. Thank you for sharing with us.
This if a great rag quilt. Makes me want to do one for myself! I can see this quilt having many uses...like for counting, find the letter, etc. Good thinking went into this project!

This is too cute. Question though, do you put any batting in between the fabric front and back? Or is that part optional?
I use three pieces of flannel for each square. I tried to brighten the blanket up by putting red in the middle of some of the squares. This is the third blanket that is going to the same family. They have two little girls which they each got a blanket, now their mom only lets them have them in the winter. Last time I made the oldest girl a purse so she would not feel left out. Now I think I will do two baby doll blankets for them to play with something really soft. This is my daughters best friend from when she was a little girl.
It has so much fluffy texture for the little guy to rub his hands on. Nicely made.
It's all finished. Now you can stand back and admire your efforts. Good job!!!
So cute and so much work. Wonderful job. Someone is going to love this.
