Love this design. Stranger things have happened.I can relate. Where can I find this design?
even if it gave you a lot of problems and broken needles it turned out great :)
Oh my! You are so lucky that you didn't damage your machine in the process. It turned out lovely despit all though!
Hugs, Nadyne
Oh cuties ! thank you for your support . What would we do without each other!
Despite all your problems it still turned out beautifully. Really cute design and great choice of colors.
Kay, I hate that this happened to you. Little things can cause such big problems. I'm just glad it didn't break your machine or a piece didn't let fly in your face. That would of been terrible. You did great getting your project completed!
These are just great! I love the design! Even with all of the headaches it caused, I can not see where it damaged anything but the pin. You do such beautiful work and can always find judt th right design for the right person. You sew everything "from your heart"!
love it! with all your troubles it still turned out great!
My daftest sewing boo boo was leaving a pin in the crotch of a pair of trousers for my daughter. She forgave me - eventually. Congratulations on getting the design to sew out without holes or jammed machines
Boy were you lucky!! When I break a needle, it usually jabs a big hole in the fabric before I can turn the machine off. With all those little dings in that pin I'm surprised you only broke 3 needles. Once I made a quilt. Years later I discovered I had sewn a pin inside it. Silly things we do.
Oh my goodness! You are lucky the only thing broken was the needle! Glad you found it before someone wore it! Looks fine to me...we always see our mistakes a lot better than others do!
it looks really good to us all sew if you won't tell we won't tell! ~Hugs Loralye~
Kay, think about it this way - the straight pin didn't cause your machine to break and the design still looks just great. But, I have to admit - I hate breaking needles!! Hugs, Laura*
When the needle hit the pin head it broke. If you look closely at the straight pin, you can can see all the ding marks where the needle grazed it. The pin was stitched so tightly that I could not pull it out with my fingers. The machine did not break ,just the needles.
The design turnout okay, I use large yellow headed pins myself easy to see and pull out
Kay, that was when I bought pens with larger heads. Well, that's one thing you don't have to do again. I seem to find new silly things along the way. ;)
I have both types of pins , but made a poor choice when I grabbed the wrong one. I actually bought the small silk pins while I was working with the silk scarves as they work better with silk type fabric.
You are a great problem solver--design looks fabulous to me--granddaughter would love it
All ended up well. And I think many of us have done the same thing. The design looks great in spite of all of the drama it and the machine went through.
It was drama. I turned the machine off and finished it the next day. I don't see that well at night even with 2 Ott lights on.
The design turned out wonderfully despite the straight pin.
it came out ok and no problems with the machine... that is some pin
Kay,I have almost done that a few times. Thank goodness it did not damage the machine. Hugs Yvonne
It is amazing how something so small can cause so much trouble. In spite of all your trouble your design turned out wonderful. May I ask where you got it? Thanks for sharing with us.
Hope your machine still boot scootin contently. Great looking design. Thanks for sharing. I am not beyond doing this myself.
