It is hard to find flash drives less than a gigabyte. So be sure not to load too many designs on the flash drive. Too many designs will overload the machine's computer. Also, try not to expose the flash drive to the internet. Flash drives can pick up viruses from the internet that can interfere with your machine's computer.
Thank you. There is so much to learn. The Designer 1 wasn't nearly so complicated.
I would add, if you are just using it with your machine try to get one that is not too many Gigga Bytes. With my viking I find that about 1GB is the largest it likes-something aout searching for the designs. Mostly now the bigger the better so you may have to look but if you can find a 512 or256 MB they hold lots of designs and I don't get any error messages.
Sounds like good advice, but, I haven't seen any that small except for the one from Vivking. Perhaps I am not looking in the right places.
I recommend SanDisk...I think they are the best.
I would suggest a brand name drive - like Pony, Kingston, Lexar, SanDisk - I would avoid one that is really cheap - they are generally of-fbrand and may or may not keep working for you.
