What a super selection. Have you made any of the patterns up?
Nope i just look at them a remember****then try not to cry:):) I miss them all ,so now i half to wait till i get to heaven to see them again hugs carolyn
Men's shirts!! I don't know anyone who does that any more. But I'd love to wear some of those styles. Glad you shared these with us.
I made my Dad many and my Mom would always say make him a new one i am so sick of looking at the same one every week lol
Such a gorgeous style they had. What a pity I'm not a big sewer and I will never fit in those clothes in absence of a wasp waist. I have the wedding jacket from my godmother from the 50ies but I'm much too fat for it. So it hangs in my wardrobe as a sweet memory to her (she died 2 years ago).
Greetings, Bettina
I have a bunch from my grandmorther and aunt. Love to see the styles. Suzanne
I'm surprised that since the 1920's that the patterns have not changed!! These have really lasted!!
What a lovely collection of memories you have, thanks for sharing. The patterns are still in great condition. Such style in the dresses - surely they will return into fashion. Looking at them sure brings back some memories for me.
can you emagin buying a pattern now for 15 cents.

Oh wow! How neat these patterns are and what an treasure you have to remember your grandmother. Thanks bunches for sharing with us! I love, love vintage goodies...and yours are extra special with lots of wonderful memories.
Huggers!
I have a couple of those old children's patterns. It is interesting the way the markings were in those days, especially the ones you ordered from the newspapers. AND the instruction sheets are very basic. You surely had to know exactly what you were doing. It wouldn't be too easy to teach yourself.
These are great, Carolyn....is that shorts or undies...2nd row from top.
How fun!!
These are great the styling and care that went into the clothes. When "ladies" where real ladies. Thanks for sharing.
great to have something like this! I don't have thast kind of thing - I have my grandmother's knitting needles and crochet hooks. I seem to be the only sewer in the family (or even any kind of crafting).
What a beautiful gift your grandmothers left for you thank you for sharing they look nice even today .Maria
What a wonderful collection of memorabilia you have! I'd love to have some of my grandmother's. :(
What a treasure trove of history you have. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing, isn't it wonderful to see the care that went into clothtes in days gone by? There are many styles I would still wear today---if I was to go somewhere that is.! haha And, the prices of the patterns are a far cry from what we pay today! Our great grandparents , grandparents and parents would be shocked by the prices ( and a lot of other things I'm sure) .
i was garment sewing in the 50's and I am also shocked at the pattern prices of today!
I have a few of my mom's vintage patterns and they all have beautiful details and style. I would make the blouse pattern - it has a classic look.
Wow, sure wish I had those...and they would fit me, too! Well, maybe not the 26" waist bloomers...lol! What a beautiful collection. I hope you share many happy memories of her sewing :)
lol Grandma taught me to sew on her treadle machine by 8 years old i was putting in zippers for my Dad i remember him being soooooo proud .He would really smile to day .Hope he can see me from up their hugs:):)
