best christmas I ever had was buying gifts for my son and his new wife . have never had another big christmas .last Christmas my son gave me a GPS that was a good christmas I really had sence the big one with my son and his wife.
they are divirced now.
My best ever Christmas gift , was when I was about 6 or 7 , I remember waking up on Christmas morning to a huge box of hand made dolls clothes,I thought it was wonderful,I was and still am a real dolly girl, my mum told me years later the she couldnt afford to buy gifts that year so decided tomake them , she was a beautiful sewer.I have had a lot of Christmases it will be 60 this December ,but thats the gift thet meant the most.
I can just imagine how excited you would've been - I still have all my childhood dollies. I loved reading your story.
I don't know if I could name a "best ever" Christmas gift. I like so many things, and have received so many wonderful things (big & small) over the years that right now I can't think of anything that stands out more then another. I will have to think on this. Do like the idea of reading what the others think. Can't wait to read more.
Sometimes it is the little things that people give you that are the most precious. When I was about 6 there wasn't much money to spend at Christmas so my Mother came up with a plan to make up for Santa not being able to bring presents. She bought a box of cherries( which were cheap when I was little- not now though), a couple packets of coton wool on a roll, brown paper and ribbon. I went with Dad to find just the right Gum Tree (no artificial trees then) for our Christmas tree. Mum said that I went to bed that night wondering W of water. Mum decorated the tree with the cherries and cotton wool to look like snow. She wrapped up little presents in the brown paper and put them in the tree as well. I was so excited when I saw the tree and spent all morning searching the tree for the cherries and little presents.
A Christmas present I will always treasure and because I know the joy of receiving a special gift I have my Grandchildren make their Mother, Aunt and other Grandmothera handmade gift like cooking Christmas biscuits or even a drawing.
I love Christmas because even if you have no money you can always find something to give that will bring Joy into a person's life.
Merry Christmas my Cutie Friends.
gosh elves got to my post - I do know how to spell cotton and....it should read Mum said that Santa would'n't be able to bring presents but would give us a big surprise instead. I went to bed wondering what the surprise would be.
Sorry about that- must speak to those naughty elves
My Embroidery/Sewing machine I got from my hubby a few years ago. It was a Birthday/Christmas gift. My birthday is December 2nd, so I got it then but was told its my gift for Chirstmas as well, since we where saving to go on vacation. I had been wanting one for several years and he went and ordered one on line. Was I ever surprised and excited!!! Now I'm hooked and saving for a new machine that will have a 200x260 embroidery area. Right now I'm working with just under a 100x100mm area.
Oh and if I look at early Chirstmas gifts, I would also have to say the best ever, even better than my Embroidery Machine was my little Ms. Morgan who was born on December 22, just a few days before Christmas. She will be 6 this year. She is Grandma's little Christmas gift every year, lol!

Best ever Christmas gift cannot be duplicated. One son living on the West coast and one son stationed on the East coast both came home (mid-West) for Christmas. It will probably not happen again, but I can dream -can't I.
I understand why that was the best Christmas gift. May you have that gift again.
Thanks Sue and the email has arrived. Need to think about the best Christmas gift bit
