Hi, I have just joined today, looks like everyone is really friendly :-) I have had a Husqvarna Designer 1 for about 5 years and have had ongoing problems so I have now ordered a Brother Innovis 750. Just wondered if anyone else has this machine and could let me know how they get on with it? They promised delivery on Friday, then said it might be today. The courier just brought me the software but no machine so it's going well so far lol

Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me and given me tips - I haven't replied to everyone as there are loads!! The machine arrived today. I have done a few things on it to experiment and can't fault it at all.

I need to get the 4" x 4" hoop as a lot of the fabric I buy is in 10" x 10" squares as I buy it from a mill shop in 'scrap bags'. Brand new fabric, just squares for some reason. I make a lot of make up bags, credit card holders etc so the size is ideal.

Everyone loves the kitty!! His name is Aswan. We have 5 and this one is the youngest at 20 months now, the oldest is over 18.

Welcome to you & your kitty. I had the 750, have since upgraded to the 4000. I love Brother machines and the 750 is a real work horse. I put almost 10 milliom stitches on mine & he was still going strong. I never had any big issues with him. He does use the thicker 90weight bobbin thread. What software did you get? If it's PE Design, this will convert your HUs to PES no problems. Good luck. Lyn. xx

Hi dooniebabe, Welcome to the best embroidery site on the web.
I have an innovis 750e I have just looked at 750 and it looks the same. I have had mine for about a year and I have been very pleased with it,
the designs are put in with usb only, and it will not do any sewing without the embroudery carrage on. but the hoop size is good, and I am sure you will be delighted with it,with the right softwere you can change your hus files to pes. so you dont loose any. Have fun. you can send me a meeage if you want to ask anything else.
Hugs Pam.

We have got the Husqvarna software and also the Brother that comes with the machine and have converted files from hus to pes so it works. I would like to get the 4" x 4" hoop as well as a lot of my fabric is in 10" x 10" squares as I buy it that way from a mill shop.

Welcome to the best site on the internet for sewing/embroidery help. I collected my brand new Brother Innovis 6700D on Friday - can't help as I need to go back to the shop today to find out why designs not loading from USB. I'm going to have a look on YouTube and see if there is an answer to my question. I also have the Designer 1 which ran out of warranty in September and guess what it died on me yesterday. So I'm not a happy chappy at the moment. Off to both stores to check out some answers. Good luck with your question, love and blessings Chris

When i couldnot load my designs it was because i was trying the hus. and that machine take vp3 (well mine does)

dooniebabe by dooniebabe 20 Nov 2012

Thanks for the welcome. We have been trying to load designs from the usb today and found that it has to be tiny in size - the memory capacity not the thing itself lol Not sure if the machine has a bit of a moment when it sees a huge memory stick!! It worked fine with the very small ones. We just got nothing at all with the big ones, it's as though the machine can't acknowledge them.

Welcome to you and your kitty! I think you'll need to watch where your threads end up with him around your sewing area :) Sometimes people get the machine first without the software -maybe you have something to look at, at least. Hope your machine follows it soon!

He likes to sit near me but that's probably as there's a radiator 5 feet away and he can watch and keep warm at the same time!

Sorry, can't help you on the Brother, I have a Bernina, but surely someone will come along soon to give you some advice. I did, however, want to say, Welcome and tell you that I'm glad that you are here.

Welcome from another Bernina babe. When you get your machine you will no doubt have specific questions which someone of us can answer. Be glad to help with general stuff.
