Watching the worst out of the rear view mirror! Still praying for you both. :)
Yea. I am hoping this 2nd knee replacement goes better than the 1st one did. I am proud of Annette and I am proud of you. I am now calling her my bionic sister. hehe.
He he ...She will like that... Thanks for the prayers... and being there...Suzanne
I just helped my aunt who had her right knee done and in March was the left. All I cans say is lots of ice and do the physical therapy exercises and eat lots of fiber (pain meds caused a problem) otherwise everything went well it has been 6 weeks for the right one and 9 months on the left one.She is 74 years young. she is walking without a cane or a walker and well she is getting quicker everyday. Its only been a week for your sister. everyday will be better than the day before she will get there. Take baby steps one step at a time, she will be off and running in no time. take care
my hubby had this also... it was lots of pain for about 3 weeks.. then intense thearpy.. it has been 2 years and he is pain free and loving life.. of course he is retired.. he has his done at the VA and then He had a shoulder replaces.. he was in intense pain with that and after the surgery he was pain free.. even during the healing process.. he can now move that arm in parts that he was not able to .. It was so bad before the surgery that I had to button his shirt and his pants.. was not fun for him or me.. she will be fine once the knee starts to heal and she must push herself to do all the thearpy .. not cry and keep strong.. and do more than they ask her to.. lots of ice will keep the pain down..
Thank you for the info. Hope hubby is doing well too. I keep telling her ice is your friend. We just started thearpy. Suzanne
I'm sure those first four days were the worst for her and you. Every day she will need less of your assistance. You are a sweet sister to be able to be there and help her during her recovery.
