On occasion I have sprayed my face with hair spray and got some in my eyes. The eye lid puffed up like a balloon. I put an flexible ice pack on and the swelling came down well enough to put my contacts in. It is difficult to see though a swollen eye. I did use the allergy eye drops to get the red out and if you have any remember to wait at least 15 minutes to put in your contacts as the allergy eye drops can ruin your contact lens.
It is always good to see your posts.I do hope your eye gets better soon.
Hugs, Nadyne
Hi, it might have just been a tiny speck of dirt in you eye that caused the problem. Is your eye ok now?. Sometimes it's just a reaction to a tiny foreign body or a splash of shampoo and clears up after a day or so. I got conjunctivitis a couple of years ago and had to wear my glasses not lenses for 3 weeks but my sight was even blurred with those so no sewing for me :-(
I think that I might have an allergy to the face cream that I used - must have been careless and got some in my eye.
Cheryl I hope your eye will be better soon. Now that kind of problem from my daughter. Do you have no glasses for a emergency-case? Have to admit that I tried them and I prefer to wear my glasses although I need them just for the left eye ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
Have been wearing contacts since 1971 and gave up glasses long ago because I cannot see well enough with them to do anything at all - not even read.
