I wanted to post this to see what you all think. I was about to decide that I did not really care for this, but think that maybe it is growing on me - it is a very time consuming project - each panel has 43,776 stitches, and you stitch 8 panels. Each panel is measuring 6.25L x 4.75W and has 8 color changes. What do you think?

Very pretty indeed. For those with a 4x4 hoop, that site says that the set is a mix of 4x4 and 5x7, but don't see anything about which design(s) are what size. Nice free design of a sprig of flowers.

Thanks to all of you for your comments - I will finish it, and will post when I get it done. This design was purchased through the Oregon Patchwork website, and is a design by Stitch Delights I am adding the link - if i can get it done right

Beth, this is breathtakingly beautiful. I would finish it, of coarse. It would be time consuming and use lots of thread - but that is all it is - thread - when it can be a work of art like this - no question, but to finish it, huh? But you be the judge of what you want to work on, Hehehe! Of coarse you might loose it, once someone sees it. *4U

You may be right - had a friend see it stitching out, and after she fussed about the color choices decided that it would be very nice. Thanks for the encouragement.

This may be very time consuming, but I think it is just simply exquisitly gorgeous. I would say well worth the time. Maybe do one panel every couple days so you don't get too flustered with it?!?! *4U ><>

This is BEAUTIFUL, I love the rich colors and the size. I am stuck with 4x4 and you know, this could be use as a single bookmark. Where is Shirl? lol, but if you are not satisfied with the outcome you can always mail it to me for I love it.

I think it's a beautiful design and agree with sewhobby, it would be lovely on a shirt or on a pocket on the front of a blouse.

That is a beautiful design. Where is it from? If you choose not to finish it as a doily, you could use that piece as the "V" on a v-neck shirt. That would be stunning too. Would the design fit diagonally in a 4 inch hoop?

I posted the site below - No, it probably would not fit diagonally in 4x4 hoop - it is stitched out in a 5x7 diagonally - However, it has a bowl that comes with it, and the base is done in 4x4, but not sure about the sides. If I ever get this done will let everyone know.

I think it is worth finishing. It would be beautiful with a large vase of roses sitting on it. Very nice!

I think it's stunning! I'd finish it if I were you! I only have a 4" hoop so FSL doiley designs are limited, and I have no idea how to digitise FSL for myself. Definitely a flower for you!
