Ah, Michelle, I do hope you do keep this for yourself...it is absolutely stunning! The colour choices and material are beautiful.
Thanks Claire and Happy New Year,
Are you still digging out from all the snow, we had our share here last week 50cm, ouch,
hugs
Michelle
Michelle, this is just so beautiful, now KEEP it! He he he! You deserve it, dear friend!
Hugs, and happy New Year! Jan
Thanks Jan,
Really had a fun time watching all this come together, planning on making more,
Hugs and happy new year to you and your family as well
Michelle
It's beautiful! I never seem to do anything for myself either, I give it all to my Mom and aunts and friends. I have never sold anything either, this is an expensive hobby for my husband!
You are so right Debra, always the last in line. I do sell most of what I make and then make gifts for others. Only 1 or 2 pieces for myself in the house, will have to try and do better in 2013.
Nice to see you on here these days,
may you have a healthier new year
hugs
Michelle
You have truly treated yourself t a lovely gift! I can't remember the last time I made anything for myself. Your skirt is absolutely stunning. *'s for all.
What an awesome piece of work. I love your choice of fabric and the scenery blends in so beautifully. Well done!!
So true Michelle! It's beautiful, a glorious job you have done and I understand what you mean. I have been doing this for yrs. and have done little for myself but I bask in the thanks i get from others and it is true it is better to give than to receive/Lillian
GORGEOUS!!!! You and your family will always treasure it and I am
sure it is going to write family history!! Putting it up each Christmas
time will bring back memories and most probably it will wander through generations of your children, grandchildren...... Let's talk about it in
100 years from now - Wishing you and all the busy cuties a wonderful
Christmas time - Maria
Michelle, this is absolutely beautiful! You're helping me get into the Christmas spirit, just viewing this work of art!! Thanks for posting this here as well as in projects; I may well have not seen it, as I check personals more often, the short time I browse each day on Cute. Meganne is just doing her job as she said, but I tend to feel it was justified to post this in personals, too, in hopes it sends a message that is so important, as taking care of "self", especially during a season we tend to give ourself totally to "others"! Thanks, again, for sharing your "gift to YOU"! One to treasure!! Merry Christmas!!
Hugs, Angel
Thanks so much Angel,
Having a difficult time getting into the christmas spirit this year but I guess I'll come around. This is really a gift I will admire and love for years to come,
thanks again and have a Merry Christmas as well
hugs
Michelle
You should really be proud!! It is beautiful! What a wondeful job you did! It has a real heirloom look! You SHOULD be really proud of this piece! Merry Christmas!
Thanks
I am really proud of this piece and all the comments I have received were very appreciated.
Merry Christmas to you as well

Michelle
Wow Michelle, this is so beautiful well done
Big Hug to you
Very beautiful....I don't think that this would be something I could do, I admire your talent and your patience....great job. If you have children or grandchildren, I could see this as a beautiful heirloom for one of them....
Thank you so much
No grandchildren yet but I will keep this and someday pass it on.
Now the difficult part.
Michelle, could you please remember, next time, to post such articles in projects, that is where this post belongs.
Sorry sweetie, just doing my job.
Hugs n blessings, (moderator 1 of 4) Meganne
Sorry Meg,
I did post this in projects but just wanted to mention in personals how we tend to forget about us and comment on the importance of doing for "ME" every once in a while.
Will know better next time
hugs
Michelle
Michelle this is just gorgeous! I have promised myself an embroidered tree skirt every year since I got my first machine, so I think I can GET how proud and accomplished you must be feeling.
Good onyer matey.
Hugs n blessings (Cutie) Meg
Oh this is so beautiful well done Merry christmas to you and your family lucky is the tree which get a skirt like that
This certainly has the WOW factor. Good for you to do something for yourself. Sarah.
Wow! This is wonderful. What a satisfying project with great results!
Like you ,I have so many projects for our home but seldom get to them. It seems that we devalue ourselves sometimes. I felt sad the other day thinking that there was just my husband and me to celebrate Christmas together. I realized later that we were soooo very lucky to have each other. What we do for others is very important, but what we do for our own is also.
Love & Hugs, Nadyne
Thank you Nadyne,
Oh yes you are so right, that we have someone to share our lives with is the greatest gift we can get.
hugs
Michelle
Really beautiful. This will give you many years of satisfaction. You are quite right in saying we don't do anything for ourselves. We must take the time and give us some "self satisfaction"!!! Can I ask where the designs came from they are truly lovely. Lyn
Thank you Lilylyn
These are many, many designs that I have combined and worked together to make this scene, trees are from Embroidery Lib., sleigh from embroidery design, some freebies and several pieces combined.
hugs
Michelle
This is gorgeous. I know you will have many years of happiness with it. You are so right, sometimes we need to do for ourselves. Hugs, Mary

I will enjoy it, my son just purchased his first home and I am thinking on one for his first christmas next year. See my name is already one down on my "to do list" lol
